Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Does Google fi sells unlocked phone? Can i use this phone with t Mobile and use fi service on an iphone?
Fi phones are factory unlocked. You can't use Fi server in any other phone during 120 days but you can keep it active on S26U along with T-Mobile if you want. Here's is what you need to do for this deal.

1. Open an account with flexible plan. Use unmentionable code from existing user for $60 credit.

2. Just to be safe, wait for the first bill to be generated before ordering the phone. This will take couple of days. At the very least wait for a day but I suggest waiting for the first bill generation.

3. Once the phone is shipped you need to activate the phone within 30 days. At this point another counter for new user r**f credit is also running down from 30 days. I strongly suggest you wait for that counter to hit zero before you activate the phone. All the counters will be shown on FI app-billing-Track FI saving and instant rebate.

4. Once the phone is activated on FI by downloading the FI app, you should wait for a day for the counter to go down by 1. At this point you can disable/remove the eSIM and use your current provider.

5. At no point during 120 days move the FI SIM to another phone (i.e. do not install FI app on any other phone and log into this FI account). Once the counter reaches 0 you can cancel the line or pause it for next deal.

Google Fi sells all their phones factory unlocked. However, if you're getting a promotional deal, you have to be careful with how you use your SIM cards so you don't void the discount.
The golden rule!!!!!!! Once you activate Google Fi on your new phone (whether via eSIM or a physical SIM), do not move that SIM to another device until the promo period ends. Doing so will immediately void your promotion, and you'll likely be charged the full price of the phone.
How to use Dual SIMs properly:

You can still use two different carriers at the same time without losing your deal. For example:
  • Setup A: Use a physical SIM from another carrier + Google Fi on eSIM.
  • Setup B: Use Google Fi on a physical SIM + another carrier on eSIM.
As long as the Google Fi service stays active on that specific phone, you are free to use a second line from any other carrier for your data or calls.

Or if not taking part of any promotions you are free to do whatever floats your boat since you have no promos to void & all phones come factory unlocked.

Given that the phone was reviewed before the reveal with stacks of them in Dubai I would bet they would come early.
lol everyone and their review mom had a phone already ready to go as soon as phone went live for preorder.

Depends on what state you're in, several on here said they didn't get charged tax on the full amount while others did like in high tax states like CA

How would I go about activating this phone on eSIM? Is there an option in the FI app?

Horrible deals this year. I did pull the trigger because my Note 20 ultra has a dying screen.

this seems to be the best deal even if you don't have one of the two phone plans the 450 off is still decent.

You can switch to a flexible plan for 4 month. Still come out ahead for over 140+.

Can the phone be used with another Google Fi number (say Number A) after activated the S26 Ultra on the Google Fi number (say Number B) it is purchased with?

If you are talking about then new S26U it will be eSIM so you can disable it/remove it. You don't have to reset the device as such as this is a factory unlocked device with no carrier bloatware.

That's a recipe for voiding the promo as it's super tricky to do that.

S26U supports both psim and esim, correct? I have GFi psim so that is what I will use. Thank you.

I broke screen on my S23 ultra a month ago and bought a new S25 ultra to replace it 4 weeks ago. I paid $1000. I just contacted google fi asking to return it and order S26 ultra.. they said nope. They also refused any price difference. Just FYI for anyone else stuck in the situation I was stuck in.
