Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

See the steps and cost below. There is only $650 discount or $300 discount not both of them together.

1. Open an account with flexible plan. Use unmentionable code from existing user for $60 credit.

2. Just to be safe, wait for the first bill to be generated before ordering the phone. This will take couple of days. At the very least wait for a day but I suggest waiting for the first bill generation.

3. Once the phone is shipped you need to activate the phone within 30 days. At this point another counter for new user r**f credit is also running down from 30 days. I strongly suggest you wait for that counter to hit zero before you activate the phone. All the counters will be shown on FI app-billing-Track FI saving and instant rebate.

4. Once the phone is activated on FI by downloading the FI app, you should wait for a day for the counter to go down by 1. At this point you can disable/remove the eSIM and use your current provider.

5. At no point during 120 days move the FI SIM to another phone (i.e. do not install FI app on any other phone and log into this FI account). Once the counter reaches 0 you can cancel the line or pause it for next deal.

The total cost will be $650 + $25x5 - $60 = $715
Thank you, this is a good explainer. A few questions:
1) Do I need to activate the flexible plan line on a different device to a) qualify as a existing user, b) to get the $60 credit going?
2) How many devices can I buy at $650? Can I do two devices and two lines? The two line pricing on the flexible plan saves upto $15 each month
3) Why disable the eSIM after activating the new phone if the plan needs to be active for 120 days? I'm assuming you can add the current provider as a second eSIM?

1. Yeah it's recommended that you activate *a* device on the plan.
2. You should be able to buy multiple ordering it while logged into the emails for different lines.
3. You don't have to disable eSIM if you want to use the service. It was more for not using any data accodentally as it's pay per use and $10 per GB. You can have multiple services active on that phone.

If someone uses your referral code, would the system inform you right away? Or you would only know once the referral credit comes through? Thanks

yes I also noticed the viewing angel is poor. Just now learned the memory is not UFS4.1, ITS SAME 4.0. My card got charged today but it seems I can still cancel the pre-order. S26U just has too many cost cutting, now seriously debating whether to cancel the order or not.

Haha yeah I think if you look at the specs sheet you're always going to get upset. My pixel 9 Pro XL has ufs 3.1. So going to 4.0 is already better for me. The camera is on the phone are probably perfectly fine for what I need them for. I'm not too worried about everything. It's so cheap considering it's only 650 bucks plus $100 in service. And then I can pause for a month until the pixel 11 pro comes out and see if that's better.

The system will let you know once someone either when they start the service or activate a device on the line. I believe it's the later. Then it will say referral active with FI (less than 30 days) for you while the referred person will see a 30 day countdown. Once 30 day is complete you will get another notification that credit is in your account.

Did you just sign up? The existing user promo would normally show after 21 days or so as I mentioned in the original post but many here has seen it right away and ordered.

Hopefully none of you made the same error I did. My old address was listed in my Google Fi account from when I did the S23 deal, and I forgot to update it. Now the phone is being shipped there with no option to reroute. Fortunately, I may be able to contact the current occupants to pick it up.

Surprisingly, my 512GB Cobalt Violet is out for delivery today. I hope I can resist the urge to activate it until after the referral counter hits 0.
