Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

If you are an exsisting FI user you can absolutely upgrade to ultras every year without paying a dime as I and some here have been doing from 4 or more years. If you are not an exsisting customer this adds 120 days of service. If you live in a state which does not charge tax on the full price and sales tax is low then I think you can still make a dollar less upgrade as ultras hold their value much better than anything else from Samsung.
Are you trading your Ultra each year to Fi or selling privately ?

Selling privately e.g. sold S25U for $780, bought S26U for $783 after tax.

I love the Plus size but maybe I need to start going for Ultra for the higher value retention.... if I switch back to candy bar style from flip side

Fi seems to have really good discounts as well on flips so you can keep upgrading without paying anything year on year with the flips.

Is the deal still available for purchase? It doesn't seem to show for me, despite the fact that it's until March 11th. Wonder if supplies ran out.

For this deal, I used to just put the Sim in a drawer (after 1 day of use) and activate the phone with a different carrier. With Esims, are we just deactivating that esim and switching carriers?

Will that mess the 120 days tracker?

1. Yeah it's recommended that you activate *a* device on the plan. 2. You should be able to buy multiple ordering it while logged into the emails for different lines. 3. You don't have to disable eSIM if you want to use the service. It was more for not using any data accodentally as it's pay per use and $10 per GB. You can have multiple services active on that phone.
Are you sure you can disable the esim without losing the rebate? I'm used to trashing the physical Sim after 1 day of use. I just wasn't sure how things would go this year with a esim.

It's the same with eSIM, the backend behaves the same with pSIM or eSIM

Someone on reddit posted that the status changed to "A new Fi member activated the device" error as soon as he activated the phone.

Anyone here signed up for the service last week and activated the phone yet? Please report your phone $650 rebate status if you do.

Thanks

Had a tracking number on FedEx this morning... but was cancelled around 5:00pm PST.

Order on Google Fi still shows 'preparing shipment'.

A little concerned if my credit card somehow failed this transaction.

1. Did you use a referral code?
2. Did you order right away after establishing a new account, or waited 24hrs, or after 1st bill generated?
  1. Yes.
  2. Activated Fi on 2/26 5:33pm PT and ordered S26U on 2/26 8:48pm PT.
Received the phone today and activated the phone. Shall wait for the tracker to change or will be returning it.
Referral tracker moved down by 1 day on 3/9 9pm PT but still the $650 promo tracker showing "a new Fi member activated the device".
