Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

My son's a new Fi customer. he signed up using my $60 code. His S26U arrives tomorrow.

Besides the $60 credit, anyone running into any issues with being a new Fi customer and the $650 discount for the S26U?
Many are hitting an error "A new user has activated the phone" in the promo when the phone is shipped out. I believe if your son activates the phone after 21 days from account opening i.e. on 22nd or 23rd the error might go away but I don't think anyone has verified that theory. I strongly think if they activate it after the new user 30 day promo is over it should be fine but then it might be outside the return window of 15 days from delivery.

A lot of us are getting the "new Fi customer activated the device" error on the tracker. The suggestion was to wait 21 days from account opening to activate it to see if it goes away.

I just finish chat with the level 2 support, and they told me that when it ship it shows the error as soon as you activate the serial number or their IMEI number device it shoulg start rolling the promotion data.

This is the reason I advise to open the account in the beginning of the February. I suggest that even you don't get to do the deal this year by activating on 22nd/23rd day, you can do couple of things

1. Return the phone, that will get the promo back and when you order next time you will a "current customer". You will loose 512 GB upgrade but this is still a great deal.

2. The same deal will return next year and good thing is that you already have an account so you can pause the service after a month when you get $60 credit Keep pausing for 90 days until the fold/flip promo in July or do the S27U promo next Feb.

Hmmm...I already received and activated my S26U. What if I activate my son's S26U under my account as well. i think there's a 1 phone limit per user though.

My son isn't gonna make the 15 day return period cut-off since he became a Fi customer back in March 5th. He'd be 1 day short. lol.

You can't activate your son's S26U on your account as you have already activate yours. The 15 day period starts from the date of delivery but if he opened up the account on 5th, 26th will be the day he should try to activate and that will be just one day after the return window. If some new user verifiea that activation before that worked for them your son can try too.

Check under order details, the return window may be more than that. I ordered on 9th March and it is bound to be delivered by tomorrow, but the return window is shown till 31st March, more than 15 days.

The return window may get adjusted once the phone is delivered. It is still 15 days from delivery date. Mine was delivered yesterday and the return window closes on Mar 25.

Keep us updated. You are also one person I read that did the deal last year with new account and referral code. Did both referral and 120 countdown work together for the S25U for you?

Can we try this? So return window is 15 days and I think once you initiate the return you will have 14 days to return it back (that's additional I think). Can we utilize that somehow?
Because if what you said is true then for me return period and 21 days ref counter is gonna be on same day.

Alternatively, I was also thinking what happens if I somehow donot receive it today (missed shipment)? UPS might try to deliver it second time and then maybe it will buy me one more day to test this theory.

Can this still be done? Or I am late to the party.
Also, I am not yet a FI user, but I think I can create an account, and order as existing user right?

Sorry, I am at work and don't have time to read through the thread yet.

I have 2 lines in my group (Flexible plan). Line #1 is under Samsung S26 promotion, so stay active for 120 days (currently 119days). But for line #2 (currently paused), can i unpause or port it out without affecting the promotion on line #1?

The terms says: Remain active and in good standing on the qualifying device for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.

I am a little concerned about the wording "account" instead of "line" in the terms. Anyone has real life experience with similar situation?

Sounds like you might be on to something. If it does indeed give you another 14 days to return it back after the initiation. You will have bought yourself 14 more days or 10-12 days just to be safe shipping it back.
