Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

Did they mention anything about being a new user and that it does not qualify you for the promotion? I had that issue and they told me to return the phone but maybe I can try again.

I'd continue to contact them until an agent agrees to escalate it to the Google Fi promotions team. The first agent I spoke to said the same thing, again I wouldn't listen to any of them until you get in contact with someone on the promotions team as they're the ones that can help with the promo issue. The regular agents told me the same you're a new user and that I didn't qualify crap.

For the new users who got the error...did you wait at least 24 hours after signing up with Fi before buying the S26U?

Thanks for explaining. I just want to get the steps down right. Did you activate the new phone yet before contacting them or waited until they fixed the tracker and then activated it? Currently in chat right now and the person is insisting that I activate on the new phone and the error will go away but a reddit user did this and his device still has the error.

Yes I activated the phone before contacting them, I'd recommend just activating it now because even if you get the error, it still tracks your progress which was told to me by the promotions team, also you'll have to activate it in order for the team to do the investigation.

Yes it shows new Fi member activated the device. I signed up for a new plan on Feb 28, got the promo on my account right away and ordered the phone the same day.

Just received the phone today. Weighing if we should wait 21 days since signing up for Fi or not. He has not gotten the error on his Fi account after buying the S26U. He did wait 24 hours before purchasing.

So here is my situation. Signed up for flexible plan on March first as a new subscriber, waited for the first statement to show and few more days before ordering on March eighth. Received the phone on March eleven and did not activated it yet. On my old phone I have tracking of both, the $60 credit and now the s26 ultra credit. There is no countdown on the s26 ultra credit, but it does show the "Current Fi member activates device within 30 days of shipment". While my return window ends on March 26 and therefore can wait for the 21 days from beginning service, my son's will not work. What should I do?

Looks like your's is looking fine. Those that had problems, showed: "A new Fi member activated the device" message in the Fi app under the Fi Savings section. The countdown won't happen until you actually activate the new phone.

Here are the steps my friend took:

1) Signed up as a new Fi user Mar 1st (used $60 referral) and activated Fi on old phone. Made test calls and send text messages to verify Fi is active.
2) Bought S26U Mar 2nd.
3) Received S26U Mar 10th.
4) Turned off Google Fi eSIM on old phone.
5) Turned on S26U on Mar 10th. Connect to wifi. Skipped SmartSwitch/skipped move old phone data. Chose setup a new phone. Login to Google using same account used to sign up to Fi. Google Fi app activated S26U.
6) Looked in Google Fi app and it showed countdown at 120 days.
7) Checked countdown again on Mar 11...it went down to 119 days.
8) Checked countdown again today...showing 118 days.

We'll do the same steps when my son gets home.
