Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Anyone else have "washed out" looking colors on this phone?Coming from an S23 Ultra and the colors are way more vivid on that phone, even after adjusting display settings on the S26 Ultra.
Turn off the "Eye Comfort Shield" option, that's the problem.

Sharing my experience that supports your conclusion. Highly suggest people wait for the first bill to be generated before ordering.
My experience:
  • Created new Google Fi account using new email and a referral code
  • Signed up for Flex plan on Feb 27. Activated plan on my old phone and did not wait for first bill to be generated before ordering new phone since the existing user promo showed up.
  • New phone shipped on Mar 9 and I received an email/warning that I was at risk of losing the promo since a new Fi user activated the phone.
  • New phone arrived on Mar 10. Activated new phone on the plan but same warning remained after 24 hours.
  • Contacted Fi support over chat and asked to be redirected to promo team. Promo team called / emailed a day later to say I did in fact qualify and they've manually fixed my account. Tracker warning is gone now and counting down.
That's the safest way to do this but it's really great that Fi promotion team is fixing these issues as Fi support is abysmal otherwise

There is a slider under vivid mode, did you crank that all the way up. There has been a uproar about the display change from S23U to S24U, Samsung added those settings in response to that but yeah the earlier Samsung oleds used to be more saturated
How do you like S26U compared to S25U?

Still live, but dead for the free storage upgrade.
This must've been the best deal so far this time around. Free storage upgrades seem to be dead all around.

Thanks. Without accessories, it would have been 850, which is still very good.

I will try to follow your method. Sell 26U before 27U comes and then buy 27U with GFi with similar promotion. That way, I always have latest model and have warranty as well. Thx.
Yeah, that's the way to go to be on latest flagship and keeping the phone for a year reducing chances of much damage also.

How do you like S26U compared to S25U?
I was on fold 7 actually from when it was released also from Fi. I am planning on being half of the year on fold other half of ultra with these upgrades but I like S26U lighter weight than S25U and design a bit. Rest seems to the same but nothing beats a free upgrade.

Samsung is still offering free storage upgrade but their prices are much higher. Every time this is the best time to get Ultra from Fi and if you do it right you can upgrade every year without a paying a dime like we have been doing for last 4 years

tell us your history so that we can compare.

New account? Did you wait 24 hours before you ordered the phone? Did you use referral? etc..
Both my counters are fine.

Started new Fi account.
Waited until 1st bill generated.
Ordered phone.
Received phone.
Activated.

Samsung obliterated the trade in values with the free storage upgrade. Does Samsung ever increase the trade in deals back to preorder levels? Debating which route to take regarding s22 ultra trade in

Already did, still washed out colors compared to the S23 Ultra. Especially reds.

So I got the 512gb version. And UPS lost my phone in transit. Fi customer support ordered a replacement and I got the new phone. But now I don't see any timer 120 days on my account. So stupid
I got FedEx delivery but specifically stated signature required since there was a chance it was going to deliver over this weekend. Seems FedEx made the delivery Saturday. Asked a neighbor to grab the package but they can't find it this morning. I won't be home until tonight. I don't understand how Google delivers phones without signature as an option, nor why FedEx made the delivery when I asked for signature! Really hope I find it, otherwise it's gonna be a headache I'd rather not have. I've ordered from Google in past and is always been UPS. FedEx had gone down hill from 4 years ago since

Thanks. Nothing beats a free upgrade, indeed.

From Note20 Ultra to S26 Ultra, the only one I didn't use was S25U. I bought it during TG in late November last year, but never got a chance to setup. If i couldn't sell it, I would have returned S26U and upgrade to S25U.

Will open and activate S26U today.

They do at various times of the year especially during black Friday but their trade in values have not been that great lately. They do have great deals without trade ins during black Fridays.
