lol I think they meant 2.5gHz and 5gHz wifi band. Not 5G as in cellular lol. FYI 5gHz is less crowded band, but shorter range, 2.5gHz is more crowded but longer range. So essentially use 5gHz if you can work with the shorter range. It also depends if your wifi router supports 5gHz.

If it's similar to another solar brand I have then yes, you can plug it into a USB power brick. However the limitation for my model, since it is a solar camera, is that you can never select "continuous record", it can only record on motion event even if converted to wired power supply.

Exactly this. The government can find and track you with almost any device with a receiver/antenna, and they have no problem using it for what they want. However, if my home gets broken into and I ask for footage to help catch the suspect, my needs are not important enough. If I was a billionaire, I'd have that video in days.
