i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

i just did some testing, and $200 discount shows up on s26 plus and 26 ultra , but not on the s26 base.

The $100 increase makes this deal less appealing, but still a good deal nonethless (will probably buy less phones because of the price increase). Although someone can argue there is no real price change, because last year's started at 128GB and this years starts at 256GB only.

I think Google Fi was offering $600 off with no trade in. Not worth $100 for the extra hassle (for me).

you should honestly read the promos https://fi.google.com/about/promo...26-S26PreH this is outright $700 off if you pay outright for the phone (during sale it is taken off), so stay 2 months to unlock and then cancel line. Google Fi, $600 is given as monthly credits over 24 months, need to keep the line active.

Last night, I saw $600 trade in value for my S25 Plus 5G (bought through Spectrum last year), So I placed order for S26 Ultra

I see this offer in my order confirmation but Spectrum won't acknowledge this, When I call to confirm they say it is not showing up on their end.

What are my options?

Man that rep did that to you. He didn't know anything. There is no requirement on locked or unlocked trade-in phone. Last year I traded in 6 locked phones; 4 for in-store and they never asked me locked or unlocked. The other 2 through online and all 6 trade-in went smoothly. These locked phones are 5 Motorola g play 2024 and 1 Pixel 9 XL. Forget that store, go to different store. I can't believe he did that to you. Last year I went to three stores to do trade-in and all were successful. In-store trade-in is the best choice because you will get credit instantly; otherwise do it through online. For online you have to wait about 1 week after Spectrum receives your trade-in phone. They will put the credit into your account and you have to call customer service agent to transfer the credit to your credit card.

I just want to verify about unlock. Are you really sure that the existing 2 month unlocked policy is still valid regardless of the new Verizon unlocked policy? It is not good to trade-in for S26 with 1 year unlocked policy.

That's obviously not the promo I was referring to. Personally, I think the one you refer to is better than the Spectrum one but that's because I'm already with Google Fi. The one I was referring to was $600 off (as I said). Not a total of $900. The deal I seen also had the option of paying it in lump sum with no monthly credits. But I have an S25 ultra now and it just isn't worth the upgrade to me. It was also 512GB.

So I have Spectrum internet and they offered me a free line last year, which I declined. So can I ask for that offer now and get the S26 for $700 off?
