i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
Try to clean the history or cache in the browser or app and try again. So it only showed the device credit like $5 at the end and no $700?
It shows $1130 trade-in credit, but once I add it to cart, it only shows the $430 for the trade-in of the s26 itself. It doesn't show the $700 promotion.

Try to add the phone other than S26 like Moto g 2025 and see if it makes different.

Honestly I wouldnt believe it until someone successfully double dips. Last year the website had a glitch that processed orders showing a $1400 promo credit. All my documentation said $1400 but when Assurant processed, it was $700. Spectrum refused to honor the $1400.

Which store in Texas did you go to? I'm in the Houston area, and the closest one to me is Beaumont — about a 1 hr 45 min drive. Worst part is Spectrum doesn't seem to list phone numbers for their stores, so I can't even call ahead to make sure they have the S26 in stock
Well that's odd. I get the $700 credit to show if I use any IMEI other than mine on the s26.

Same here, if I use my S26 the $700 discount disappears at checkout. Any other IMEI and the discount sticks.
The rep did tell me that they are not allowed to do same day trade-in when I asked. I guess they make it system level. Try again tomorrow and let us know please?
They improve their system quite a bit this year. I guess no more deal next year

Oh good to know. I'll definitely check tomorrow and let you know.
Tried to do the Walmart Straight Talk Moto 5g phone. Major FAIL at the store. Could not trade it in as they brought out a mirror in order to use the phone to take a photo of itself which is apparently a requirement for the trade. So this requires phone activation (on Straight Talk).
Any work around for this to atleast just bring up the camera and bypass the setup?

That's unlucky because I traded in that phone. They did the mirror thing too, but it still went through.
Mind sharing how you pulled up the camera without activating the phone???
When I took it in, I had already factory reset and just setup the phone with the basic stuff. Rep just opened camera and did the mirror thing, which he struggled for a bit, but got it. I never activated the service.

You just set it up normally as you would setting up a new phone.
Unless there is some screen that you can't get pass due to the phone not being activated on the cellular network? Sometimes the SIM card is not seated all the way in.

So I'm guessing you had bought this phone on Straight Talk and had been using it on a plan before?
Because if you buy a new one from Walmart, it's already factory reset, but you can't advance through the setup without activating plan on sim. If I take the sim card out, then I can connect to wifi, but right after it still asks for esim activation and won't let you get past that.
Any one else?
