If the value of the trade-in device credit exceeds the cost of the new device, credit will be reflected on bill statement within 2-3 bill cycles. Any promotional credits offered will be reflected over 36 months on the bill statement. One trade-in promotional offer is available per line. They improve their system quite a bit this year. I guess no more deal next year
The rep did tell me that they are not allowed to do same day trade-in when I asked. I guess they make it system level. Try again tomorrow and let us know please?

Unless there is some screen that you can't get pass due to the phone not being activated on the cellular network? Sometimes the SIM card is not seated all the way in.

Because if you buy a new one from Walmart, it's already factory reset, but you can't advance through the setup without activating plan on sim. If I take the sim card out, then I can connect to wifi, but right after it still asks for esim activation and won't let you get past that.
