i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
The 24 hour wait has been completely debunked. Not one person has confirmed trading in a spectrum S26 and successfully getting the $700 trade in bonus. It's been 2 days for me since purchasing in store. It's been almost a week since some members have gotten online pre orders delivered. I'm not interested in wasting more time to go in the store and find out at the last second of the 30 minute process that the $700 disappears.
Anybody facing this? I was with spectrum 8 months back and moved to ATT internet. Now i signed up again for Spectrum now, but when i log into my account it shows all my past devices/orders since its connected to my same address. Also i dont see the $400 new customer promo applying to my cart. Customer rep not able to find out why. Is it because since i was with spectrum 8 months back? anybody in the same boat.
I could not upgrade in-store due to some fraud alert. I moved to Spectrum internet 5 months back and took the free line promotion last month. This would have been my first ever device purchase with them. Anyone else faced this issue?
I've done dozens online but my very first in store ended in failure last year. This year I was successful in store. It's pretty random in my opinion. I successfully did more trade in orders last year after the in store failure.
I definitely shouldve asked more questions before paying.
Didn't get the phone yet and they just ordered it online telling me to wait for 2 days delivery to my house. She said the credit would be applied 1 week max after mailing the phone in. (1.5 days passed already but still no mail in instructions)
They said I could activate the phone myself or in the store when the device arrives.
If the credit doesn't get sent in a week, I'll try calling spectrum to extend return window.
As others have said, you should be fine. Can't trade in in store if they don't have the physical phone. In the future, ask first if it's in stock before you waste time. Good luck!
Anyone do a trade in in store in NY? Would like to know the tax situation. Also, wondering if you could trade the s26 you had on one account for a plus or ultra on somebody else's account. Thanks!

Quick question, not for me but to help others ha. Those of you trying to trade an S26 up to a plus or ultra, do you have the Unlimited Plus plan that gives "Anytime Upgrade"? Maybe that's why it's not allowing you to trade up the S26? Just a thought, I can't test it myself.
Just left spectrum store with a s26 ultra. They only had cobalt violet which was fine by me.
$632.36 for the phone after $709 trade in credit. Paid in full but I later noticed the receipt said "128gb moto g 5g 2025" when it was a 64gb. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me, the store associate had full control. Not bad for the latest model for under $700 after the $32 Walmart straight talk moto 5g 2025

I don't have the Unlimited Plus, but last year I traded the s25 for the s25+ without that plan. Just the free Unlimited line.
I tried trading in S25 to S26 in store yesterday, but the employee helping me seemed pretty clueless, taking almost an hour with several failed attempts to run the mirror diagnostics, first their wifi blocking the diagnostic website, second - running the test without cleaning or removing screen protector and third really long fake nails making me type in several times. Finally she got me reduced trade in value of $93. That's ¢100 less then what it should be. I went home and ran the diagnostic URL again and it passed so easily in less than 2 minutes. It seemed she was neither reading nor following instructions on the diagnostic webpages. I'm heading to another store, hopefully one with trained and smart employees.

The anytime upgrade just refers to being able to upgrade even if you have not paid off your previous device. For people paying in full or who have paid off devices it is not relevant.

That works. But I'm not rolling the dice that it gets through the trade in evaluation online or in person.
Agree that is a huge gamble because in-store they are instructed to use IMEI1 and when you mail-in their system could either reject or correct to IMEI1 and then you could lose the $700 promotion in either of those cases.
Although that is very interesting if they system is allowing the $700 promotion to attach to S26 devices through IMEI2 since it means the system is not set to just blindly block the $700 on all attempts at S26 tradeins.
