i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
I am in the same boat. my 2nd phone got delivered on Monday but no credit yet...first credit came with no issues...
Has your device been evaluated yet? You should go by when Assurant sent you notice that the device has been evaluated and not based on delivery date. They do not start the credit process until the device has been assessed.
I just did 2 in store trade ins in NYC and received tax on the net amount instead of MSRP of the new S26. Paid $212 with Moto G 5G trade. There's definitely a difference in tax treatment between mail in trade vs in store trades in the same state.
U lucky dog πΆπ
Here in California, we have to pay tax on full msrp. Already done that twice this in the last 2 weeks. Sucks here
yeah, different lines but same day for me on my 5th s26 earlier this week
Did you open/activate each new phone before going back and upgrading on the same line again? Not sure if it affects unlock timer if you keep it sealed for 60 days.

yeah, activated each phone. Then I ported out the $20/gb lines numbers to metropcs for the 16e's, and traded each of those two phones to Apple for $310 each. Did it twice now so I have $1240 in my apple account
I'll keep the main free line to unlocked each phone once 60 days for each phone

Will the $20 lines that were ported out be prorated?
I got mine for personal use but genuinely curious what are people doing with the extra s26 phones? Is the hope to resell after 60 days? Profit on each is what, like $100?
Just came back from local spectrum store. Traded my Spectrum S26 base vs iPhone 17e. Tax on full msrp here in California. Total out of pocket $49. Cool young guy at the store made the experience so much better, smooth and fast. Was done in about 10 minutes.
Earlier today I went to a store near me, but the moment I started with trading s26 , the guy at that store immediately began telling me the iPhone 17e is not available. He asked what color, and I said anything except pink. Then he tells me they got pinkπ€. I then asked if they have base s26 to add to my second new line. Then he tells me base s26 is out and they only have plus and ultra. Damn. What a weirdo. If I ever need to go back to that store and he's the one available, I'll ask for a different employee. I felt like he was intentionally trying to make things difficult for me. Maybe he previously worked for Metro dealers and learned all the negative experiences. I thanked him and left .
The second store employee was awesome.
Just curious what your plan is for the 17e? They both have basically the same value except the iphone will probably hold the value longer term.

So you ended up paying about $150 for each of those 16e's? You're netting 150 off those off the bat...
