i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
Do you have to be the person that pays the Spectrum bill or just living in the house?
I have a 512 GB S25 Ultra. I've never done this deal before so a little confused how it works. Does anything get charged to Spectrum or can I personally pay any extra that I'm charged? I want to pay anything owed myself. I don't want it included in the Spectrum bill that a family member pays.
I tried logging into Spectrum to see what I'd owe. I see I get a full year of unlimited cell service, and my trade-in is 1086.00 but I can't add to cart to see final price because it wants me to put in my current phone number and carrier for porting and verification.. I'm afraid to do that now. I simply want to see the balance of what I'd owe. How do I find that out without committing to the deal yet? It does say Pay in Full 1099.99 when it ships. I imagine they add tax also. I just want to know the final price before committing. And I'd rather pick it up and be there to hand in my trade-in. I don't want to risk it getting lost in the mail.
When the phone comes out, can I just go to the local Spectrum store and pick it up and give my trade-in? Could I just go to the store now and do it all in person i.e. ordering and porting, etc?
Thanks in advance.

You have to go in-store. They don't have online order to pickup in store.
It has to be the account owner. Driver license and SSN are required. They have the option to add authorize person in the app but I never try it.
If you do it in-store:
(1299 - 1086.00) + tax
or
1299 + tax - 1086
depend on your state

Thanks. I'll try and put myself as an authorized person. ETA: Tried it and you either have to put yourself as primary or transfer in your name. I just want to be added to the acct but you can't do that. I was told that I can get the free 1 year phone plan without being on the acct and just living in the house. so seemed like I should of been able to do this deal also. When I put it in the cart, they had a place that stated: Who is the phone for?__________________. Here I put my name. It didn't seem to have to be the acct holder.
Why in my case does it state that my trade-in is worth 1086.00 and then at the bottom it states 1099.99 total device cost? Did it used to cost 1299.00? It's actually showing 1499.99 crossed out.
It shows the 1499.99 crossed out and says Pay in Full 1099.99. So seems like I'd pay 13.99 + tax for the S26 Ultra?
I guess all I can do is go to the store and try. I kind of like the heavier and better built S25 Ultra so if it doesn't work out, I'm ok keeping what I have.

For some reason the Spectrum website shows the $200-400 promotional discount on all S26 devices by default even though that s only for select few (i.e. new internet customers who are adding 2 new unlimited lines). Most people do not qualify for that promotion. It is a bit misleading but likely your price will be $1499.99 - promotional credit. In CA you will likely have to pay taxes on the full amount (i.e. $1499.99) even if you do it in store based on reports of people from CA previously in this thread.
And to clarify, the $1499.99 cost is for the 512gb version. $1299.99 would be cost if you go with 256gb version, which is what most people probably go with. There was a promotion for free upgrade to 512gb version but that was only with on-line preorder of the device a few weeks ago. They usually have some sort of free storage upgrade promotion each with preorders.

Anyone noticed trade-in device sent to Flower Mound, TX instead of Lewisville, TX by UPS? I just dropped off in UPS and the address printed on it shows differently than previous shipments. I am thinking UPS processed incorrectly.
Was it a different type of device (i.e. iPhone vs Android)? They might have different logistic protocols for different types of devices. I would not be concerned if you used the QR code they provided and it was shipped to Assurant. If you do not hear anything in a week I would check in but hopefully you will get notice by Friday.
I received my trade-in credit refund on the original card I used to pay for the order. I had added a different card to my account for the refund and removed the original payment card, but the refund was still processed to the original card. That said, I'm fine with receiving the refund quickly rather than waiting longer.
I can confirm now too that they are sending refunds back to card used to pay for the original order only and cannot switch like in previous years. I requested on my refund ticket to send it to my card on file but they sent it back to the other card anyway.
I have not actually received the refund yet but contacted them to see where they are sending it. Also like others have reported it does not seem that they are refunding taxes even though they are processing it as a refund linked to the original order/card.

Thanks for the insight, it's MOTO phone and same phone MOTO phone sent to Lewisville before, though both places seem to be very near by. It looks like buyer remorse returned phones sent to that address, but not sure why trade-in phones also sent to the same address. I used the QR code and I have the paper work printed with QR code. Yeah, will check back later this week.

I know that I have seen Flower Mound before, I think maybe when I previously shipped via USPS. They probably just move things around to keep everything from congesting in one place.

Yeah, makes sense, spreading it out to different locations. Will update once processed, right now scheduled to deliver by Thursday.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I had the 512 GB chosen. I think it might have been a special deal at 1099.99. When I went to click out of the page so that I could think on it, it said something like move on this special offer now as it won't last long. I just wasn't ready to jump on the deal yet without more info.
On the page yesterday it also had an extra 1086 trade in value. Trying today I only see 700.00 trade in. I may just stop by Spectrum one day this week and talk to them. I'm not willing to pay more than 200 for the upgrade which includes tax. I'm not convinced the upgrade is that big a deal coming from the S25Ultra, which I love.
Thing is if I go to the store, they may show the 1499 or 1299 price where I show cheaper online so there that also but I did do a screenshot of what I saw yesterday so they may price match.

No the $400 off only for new internet customer with financing devices. You will not get it otherwise.

It has to be the account owner. Driver license and SSN are required. They have the option to add authorize person in the app but I never try it.
If you do it in-store:
(1299 - 1086.00) + tax
or
1299 + tax - 1086
depend on your state
