US mobile. They have deals often. Current deal is $170 (after tax) for Unlimited everything.

You can pick between T-Mobile, At&t, or Verizon. Or all three for extra yearly fee (around $50-$100 extra on promos).

https://www.usmobile.com/networks

They do have phone promos but they usually suck (IMO).

I just find a refurbished/used phone on eBay and go to US mobile. And not worry about a bill for one year.

This is the way. US mobile = cheap plan. Used flagship phone every 5-6 years.

I pay $25 per month, for US mobile on Verizon's network. Am priority when on a 5G device since I got grandfathered in, but even on my 4G non priority device, my Service never has any issues. I get 70GB per month.

I've had verizon for 20+ years... up until the last 2 or 3 years, their coverage has been top notch. Im an IT field engineer and I travel extensively and needed super reliable coverage. However, something happened 2 or 3 years ago and their coverage is spotty now and definitely not worth their premium pricing. I've been test driving Spectrum, red pocket, and Mint to see if they are just as good (coverage wise) and will soon drop verizon like 3rd period French.

Agreed. They lost their way and I work indirectly for them. I plan on leaving them and coming back when they get it back together. One of my coworkers tried tello and got better service. I'm mind blown. What am I paying for??

If you have a family plan, paying $45 a line means you're paying $720 ($20x36) more compared to US Mobile. That's not a terrible deal, paying over 3 years and getting the phone now.

Locked in to $70 or $80 per month for 36 months? That should be in the headline of the post, to keep it simple and just show the fine print.

Your math is accurate. It is still arguably a bad deal, because you're paying almost the full price of the device over the 3 years ($720). You are locked into the plan as well, and you don't have promos and deals like US Mobile does that can lower your bill. I had about 50% off my first year, so minus $150. Max, I'm locked in for 1 year with USM. For Verizon, I'd be locked in, as well as my family, for 3 years. Also, on USM I can switch networks between Verizon, At&t, Tmob. Fairly easy to do. All in all, if you want to be in debt or in a contract then it's not bad. But, I've saved massive monies by buying 2-3 year old flagship, for 70% off their msrp, and switching between MVNOs when they have year long deals.

I am actually on a plan that's $270 per year, not $300. So, would add about $90 additional to your amount, about $810 more. Again, it's up to everybody what financial decisions they make. I've never paid more than $400 for a new phone, and I always buy like 1-2 year old flagship when I see amazing deals for them. Currently rocking an s10 plus I bought for 350 in 2021.
