Cleaner? You just have a bowl/bucket of water (preferable ice water) to soak the brush and steam the grill grates.

Keep your cleaning products and daily grill brush separated. Honestly, a good brushing with water each time you use the grill should be sufficient for the grates.

The wood scrapers are just better. That, and as mentioned before, using water to steam the grates, as well.

Those are almost all user error. Not enough water and/or too hot of a grill.

Have had one for a season with no issues. Works great for me. Still on the first pad with no end in sight to start using the second. At this rate it will outlast the old bristle brushes. I keep the pad stored in a small plastic to-go container with water so it's ready to go when I pull my food off the grill. Definitely recommend.

No issues cleaning the hot grates, or you have to wait for them to cool down?

Tried them. Wood one never worked well for me. Back to old reliable metal bristles.... just look before you eat. Frown
If you want something high quality give this a look: https://www.jjgeorgestore.com/the...-scrubber/

It's not cheap, but personally I'd rather cough up extra money than choke on metal bristles.
