2) I've made at least 15 orders from this seller. They aren't fakes.
I'd love to hear more about these decent 18650 lights for $9 though.

These are literally half of 9 bucks at just $4.50 each with over 9000 reviews averaging 4.5 stars. Thats a lot of satisfied people. That would definitely fall into the category of "most consumers".

Don't get me wrong. it's a great flashlight, well made and bright as hell.
But it has weird charging problems that I still fail to understand.
Some cables work, some do not (no problem charging other devices). Same cable works with one charger but not another, no matter what port (A or C) I use. With some cables it thinks I pressed the button and lights up. And so on and so on....
Yes, I found a combination of charger and cable that always works, but it's not like you can plug it into random charger using random USB-C cable.

Goldenboi1210: No, I do not think that's the problem. I tried different cables and different chargers. Different wattage, quality, brands and do not see any pattern.
I believe it is about two things: 1) power negotiation between charger and flashlight and 2) resistance of cable that disagrees with e-switch of flashlight.

If you have a welcome deal+coupons+coins+credits you can get it even cheaper. I just bought the st10 from them for about $2 this way. I previously got the wurkkos ts26s for under $10. Definitely the way to go.
Only thing I may suggest is using your PayPal balance to pay as I've seen some people say AliExpress triggers a $10 foreign fee charge if the seller doesn't code the sale correct. Otherwise no risk when you buy directly from the manufacturer
