Anything with ads is not a deal. You are paying to watch advertisements.
I don't get this thought process as the commercials won't cover the cost of the show - my guess is not even close for the vast majority.

Not to be a contrarian, but you get a LOT for that $895 annual fee, not just $300 of streaming services. Not for everyone, for sure, though.

True, if you can make use of all the benefits.

Seriously. I tried Hulu with ads a bit ago and it was quite literally unwatchable. I have no idea how anyone watches anything on their ad supported model. The amount of ads was insulting.
I agree. I had Hulu with ads and it seemed that there was a 2 minute ad every 10 minutes.

Network TV, with an antenna, tubi and pluto have ads but don't charge you a fee to watch

Quality of content isn't free. As you said, there are choices if you want completely free.

The value needs to be cut in half though. Paramount or peacock can frequently be had for $50 a year via Walmart plus. As for Disney, there's an Amex card that knocks out $7 a month. Now Uber, every time I switch to a Visa the price reduces $5, which means the Amex uber discount is an inflated value.

lol I actually enjoy ads, just started using tubi and their ad intervals+duration is perfect. gives my fatass time to hit the kitchen, grab a snack, get some water, use the bathroom... or just scroll through my phone. No ads is cool 24/7 content burns me out fast.

I second this. I'm ok with some ads, but the Disney streaming services are horrible with ads. It is literally unwatchable with the amount of ads. Either get the add-free plan or don't bother.

Life is too short for ads... Plenty of ad-free content out there.

Is it possible to upgrade to premium at a discount? Or will it revert itself to $19.99?
