BUT people need to know this is the very old and "brushed" version... The massive hump on the rear is the instant giveaway that its an old junkier drill
Good starter kit since it comes with stuff, but NOT a nice drill compared with any new brushless version of any of the drills... People should know this and make their choice accordingly.
I usually come here to thumb down and/or provide my negative thoughts on these older brushed (aka not brushless) tools. The brushed versions will be much weaker/slower/less efficient compared to the newer brushless versions, but for $89 I'll let this one slide. Not a positive or negative vote. As a first drill to get, this one is ok and gets you a charger and two small batteries.
Not worth it. This is a very old model, and the two batteries it comes with are the worst ones DeWalt makes. There are several other recent deals that would be better for someone who needs an "around the house" cordless drill.
For $97, home depot had the M12 subcompact brushless drill a few days ago.
For $45 home depot had the brushless Ridgid 18v subcompact drill.
If you really really wanted DeWalt, home depot has this exact drill plus the impact driver for 139.
