This M12 Fuel high speed 3 8 inch ratchet is aimed at faster work and tighter access, with the 2567 20 trading torque for 450 RPM and a smaller head. The speed focus stands out versus the older Gen 1, which feels slow, and it is positioned as the better choice when zipping fasteners out matters more than breaking them loose. The kit version with two batteries, charger, and bag at $180 is called a good deal, while the tool only price makes more sense if a battery is already on hand. Home Depot price matching is also reported to be quick.

Common Questions (5)

  • Home Depot will price match, and the process can take about five minutes. Text/chat price matching can take under 15 minutes.

  • If you already have a battery, paying about $80 for two small batteries, a bag, and a charger is not as compelling. The kit version at $180 includes two batteries and a bag, which is the better value only if you need the extra power and accessories.

  • The high-speed 2567-20 is much faster at 450 RPM, while Gen 1 is around 250 RPM and can feel slow and loud. The newer model keeps the same 35 ft-lbs torque as Gen 1 but improves speed and has a smaller head for tighter access.

  • The 2567-20 prioritizes speed and access: it is rated at 450 RPM and 35 ft-lbs with a smaller head for tight spaces. The 2557-20 is the higher-torque, lower-speed option at 200 RPM and 55 ft-lbs, better for breaking bolts loose.

  • A price of $88.29 out the door through ShopMyExchange is mentioned. The Home Depot tool-only deal is listed at $98.10.

Ahh, sorry. You must be referring to this deal (which wasn't a frontpage deal). I thought people were referring to the frontpage deal.

Anyone compare this to the new high speed version. I am not using these to bust nuts loose, so not sure if I want to hold out for the newest version for the increased torque rating. I have a gen 1
I have gen 1 too. From what I have experienced & read from others, I dislike how slow it is to zip things out, need for speed on this. Honestly I just use hand b/c gen 1 feels that slow & annoyingly loud. Technically everything bigger than 13mm or 14mm shouldn't be initially cracked off with a 3/8" ratchet, to preserve the tool, but that is not crazily torqued down, so the tool can handle light torquing off nuts & bolts, (50ft lbs of torque I would guess). My gen 1 is still carrying on tough.

1. This high speed 3/8" is 450 rpm, 35ft lbs of torque, 1/4" high speed same 450rpm
2. New Gen 3, 3/8" has 400 rpm & 70ft lbs of torque but I hear very loud, reviews say
3. New Gen 3, 3052-20 at 1/4", 45ft lbs torque, but rpm goes to 550rpm, highest rpm out of everything m12
4. Insider is longer reach & dual 1/4" & 3/8", plus specialized Pass Through sockets (good or bad for convenience or get lost), 350 rpm, 60 ftlbs torque. I think I would get this if the rpm gets a big bump next gen, & on a super sale.
5. For reference Gen 1, 250 rpm, 35ft lbs torque

Ideally Milwaukee makes a 3/8" 600+ rpm for $100. Or I cave in & just buy the gen 3, 1/4" size model at 550rpm, & deal with the smaller sockets around. Or I just keep monitoring the dumb incremental baby steps upgrades of each generation, hoping for 3/8" at 600+rpm at gen 4!
