T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

Locate Account Info: Your account number in the "Account Summary" section of the online portal. Generate a Port PIN: Under Settings in Profile

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

Interesting… I know my Metro number wasn't fully ported which was probably why I couldn't port to Cricket.

Lyca might be the cheapest solution for most to get a port number I think.
You are fully ported only if you receive an email from Google Voice and Metro saying that your transfer is complete. If not you can call the Metro porting department 1-800-518-7519 to have them complete the transfer. I had to do that for 3 lines that I ported from Google Voice to Metro.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Enoch42

It's $120 plus fees and taxes for the phone, if you want a locked to Cricket phone.

It's $240 plus fees and taxes if you switch to the cheaper $30 month plan after four months. And wait the full 6 months of service to unlock it.

If you do the Tello trick, it's $5 plus fees and taxes. Also a transfer fee to Cricket.

There will be a flood of these on eBay soon enough.

I got my order in, although in the order status it still states the port in is still in process. How long does it typically take to complete the port in process to cricket? I am porting from Lyca mobile which I wasn't able to successfully use in Metro.
My transfer finished in about 10 minutes.

Dude, you can't order line 2-5 until you get the first one delivered to you at your house. Then, you have to activate it. After that, you go online and order the 2nd, 3rd and etc. That's how you get $30 for the 2!d line. If you order them all at once then it will be $90 for the 2nd line and not $30.
Got it? You can't order the phones all in one order or you will being paying $90 for 2nd line instead of $30. When you ordered it later after getting your first phone delivered in your hands. It has to be in your hands before you can order the 2nd for $30.
Thanks for detailed reply. Question then is. What if deal goes away while waiting for 1st phone to arrive? How long is this deal supposed to be going?

What is the minimal cost for the next 4 paid months just to unlock the phone?
I have the same question and never saw an answer in multiple threads. It seems this is a very hard question to answer.

From what I can see, their cheapest current plan is $30/mo. So for months 3-6, at 30+tax mo, you get an unlocked iPhone 16e for $120+120+tax total. It will probably still be worth more than that new in six months, so I call this slick provided that we are allowed to downgrade our plan and the phone actually unlocks in six months. This is also on net cheaper than the old Total Wireless deals iirc, though of course the wait time was much shorter.

ED: there is apparently a 3-month unlimited plan for $45 (it was listed under yearly plans so I didn't check there at first). If that's the case it'll be $75 for the final four months instead of $120, presuming you switch to the $30 plan for the last month.

In other words:
$120—phone+first two months
$45—unlimited plan for next three months (total of five)
$30—10gb plan for final month (total of six)
For a total of $195+tax. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
