Normal people don't trade in five phones at once. You'd have to make multiple trips to the Apple Store.
Is this an unspoken rule tho? I was wondering what's the normal number of phones people trade in in store

Idk what the comparison is but my total at the store was $182.50 after tax. That plus the original $120 puts me at around $300 total for $930 worth of apple giftcards
Thanks. Did you get a new line or did you port your number? Also were you charged activation fees in the store?

Both (added 2 lines at the store one port in, one new number from cricket). They waived activation fees

This is actually scary to hear. Why is Apple denying so many trade ins? Is it because they have blacklisted these cricket devices? Thanks.

You can always just mail it in. Some Apple Store employees are lazy and don't want to process multiple devices, but you also have people bringing in multiple devices at once - which normal people do not do lol

They cancelled my orders a total of 12 times today. I tried 3 different cards and PayPal and still got cancelled.
I have the same problem. Did you use 3 different CC (Billing and shipping address are different with your acct address? it's like I have to borrow a CC from my cousin and ship it to his address.

I know but I just Reddit + Slickdeals post of some people saying they've been able to do this hassle free multiple at once, Also I called in this branch before and asked what is the maximum number allowed per day and the person over phone literally said no limit

I received my device today and activated it, transferred the e-sim to my other iPhone and then went to Apple. They accepted the trade-in no questions asked: $310.

So based on my reading of the last few pages, apple store trade-in is not dead. It's more of dealing with misinformed or unwilling employees or just user error with people telling the employees that the phones aren't paid off.
