T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

Locate Account Info: Your account number in the "Account Summary" section of the online portal. Generate a Port PIN: Under Settings in Profile

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

This is very YMMV. Cricket stores in my area are charging upwards of $186 per iphone 16e. They are taxing on the full MSRP, adding activation, insurance/protection etc and the highest plan. They are also verifying with ID. If the ID contains previous orders, they are not doing the sale. Looks like this is very dependent on the kind of stores in the area.
When I was at Cricket, the saleswoman was trying to upsell me a case, screen protector and other accessories which would've made my total $150 instead of the $72 I eventually paid. I had to respectfully decline the offer the first time, then the 2nd time she tried to upsell me the accessories again, I just flat out told her I already have a case and screen protector at home (which was actually true).

In my case she didn't even ask for ID, when I asked her if she needs an email she just looked at me with a smile and replied "only if you want to, otherwise I'll use a random one'…I did not complain. Again, after I saw the final total price I told her I was shocked and was expecting a much higher out the door price.
You had the very favorable outcome during your visit to Cricket which is borderline rare, but it would be very unlikely for the average walk-in. During my visit, they even had a sign at the front counter saying that they require ID.

Got a 16e for a relative ($120) and one for me ($30). Traded in one of those 16es along with one I got from Boost a while back at the Apple Store for an unlocked 17e. Now I have two cricket lines, one for the relative (we will keep for 6 mo) and one for my 16e. What's the best value I can get from that line? It looks like Metro wants an ID for their 16e deal? Has anyone done that? Is there a way to park the number for future use?

I know, I know, she activated both phones in no time, send test sms and call to make sure lines are active. My question is: now that the lines are active, do I even have to create an online account and can I somehow check if autopay is on? When I ordered online, all my order so far did not have autopay enabled by default so I am assuming it's the same when you buy in store?

Exactly. The cricket store doesn't do anything without an ID. And then the system can automatically trace if you have any lines with them. Looks like one poster got really lucky.

Was able to order Thursday night using paypal method my 2nd and 3rd iphone 16e online before cricket changed its terms, but still got an email today indicating I need to verify information about the number transfers. When I click to try to update my information, the page says 'You're all set'. Am I in the clear? Or should I chat with customer service? TIA!

You have to do it on cricket web, open chat with digital assistant, choose "new esim device"
i didnt have to do this at all. on my 2020 and 2022 SE's i just selected 'add esim' and it found the numbers on the local 16e's

though once i added it i had to reboot and activate the esim on the new phones with cricket. but it worked and i have the numbers and plans as second sims on the SE's

Ironic that you mentioned that b/c I'm still trying to figure that out myself. After I setup my 16e while at the Cricket store, I tried to create an online account through there website using the email address and phone number I provided the saleswoman at Cricket, but I get the following error:

Sorry, that didn't go as expected.
Something happened with our system. Please try again later.

I'm pretty sure that poster is well aware of that since I even mentioned that to them myself. More power to him and anyone else for that matter who can turn this deal into something even slicker...

Went to local apple store to trade 2 iPhone 16e and 2 iPhone 13, got full trade values for all except 1 iPhone 16e which failed diagnostica due to "unauthorized modifications" with no details. Sucks as these phones are supposed to be brand new and never gone for repair or modifications. Anyone knows if a different apple store might get it a full trade in value?
I traded in 3 phones, 1 phone got this error, the employee run the 2nd time and asked the manager to do something and it went thru

Can you please expand on that. What did you mean by it found the SIM of iPhone 16e. I tried adding a sim but it asks for QR code.

I asked the employee helping me with the trade to run it a second time, but she very politely mentioned it cannot be run for again for the same IMEI. I felt like the issue was due to either user error or their app glitch, and a second run probably would have a different outcome, but didn't want to come out rude. There's no second apple store around here, unless I drive 2 or more hours. I forgot to take one older iphone 13 today. So, I'll go back to the same store in a few days, to trade both the 13 and 16e again.

When all trades done, I should have at least $900 or more. Any suggestions as to save the gift cards or use them for iphone 17, or 17 pro? Or maybe get 2 macbook NEOs for my 15 year old son and 9 years old daughter? Both of them have windows gaming laptop (much bulkier). Would Neo be a good option for kids with gaming laptops, for home use?

Thanks.

I have a small doubt , so we can take as many devices as possible from different stores if the store accepts the id and with port ins and system doesn't show anything with address.

Does Helium require ID verification again, or is it user-specific?

totally depends on the rep that you get
some are lenient and want to make the sale
others know what you are trying to do and say they don't have any in stock or add a bunch of extras
