T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

Locate Account Info: Your account number in the "Account Summary" section of the online portal. Generate a Port PIN: Under Settings in Profile

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

Helium requires gov't issued ID verification like a driver's license, ask me how I know 😂

To answer your question, the short answer is no. You don't need to.

The long and best answer is yes. 1. Now the rep has access to your account. You don't know what's going to happen. 2. If you erased the eSIM and traded in to Apple, you have no access to that account if there's another deal comes along. 3. There are many reports that Apple's Smart Assessment (the tool they use to evaluate your phone diagnotics) shows $0 trade-in value because of unauthorized modification. It may OR may not related to the IMEI still connected to an active account. I don't know for sure since the data is inconclusive. But I always moved the number to another phone before I traded it to be sure.

The $0 trade-in value error happened to me twice. Nothing I can do to convince them otherwise. Once the Smart Assessment made its decision, Apple employees are required to follow it. Your phone serial number is stored on Apple server after the assessment. So all Apple stores will see the results and another scan will also result $0. Only the Genius bar techs can override it after a physical inspection. I decided not worth my time, so I traded to Best Buy instead.
Happened to me once now, still have 4 phones left to trade, the guy overrided it and gave me the GC

The one you had issue with how long you had it? fresh or a few days? I took 3 in to trade, 2 got accepted are the ones delivered a day before and the one got that issue is the one I had for 2 weeks. I been observing, I see those without issue trading in are the ones running to the store immediately.

Accounts are created automatically. In store, the reps should have given you a temp password. If you don't have that info, on the website, use the forgot username to get your username. Then use the forgot password to reset your password. For myCricket app, you can use your phone number to log in. You can reset your password there too.
Just to address your previous comment, I was finally able to register for an online account today for the first iPhone 16e that I purchased online for $120 this past Mon. If I could make an educated guess, from my understanding, basically, Cricket must've never given the go ahead for me to register my online account until today after receiving a text message from them referring to their "Call Defense" feature which is intended to block fraud calls and text messages and their message mentioned that I could "opt-out by logging into my online account" and "disabling Call Defense in my Settings" which I considered 'a sign' to create my online account today which I did by entering in my phone number and in turn their site prompted me to supply a password that meets their criteria which went successful. I didn't even have to use the "forgot username" or "forgot password" feature to make that happen. I did mention in a previous comment yesterday that I was presented w/ the following error when trying to create an account, not to mention, that also included using the "forgot username" or "forgot password" feature:

Sorry, that didn't go as expected.
Something happened with our system. Please try again later.
However, what surprised me the most was that I was also able to setup an online account today using the phone number for my other 16e phone that I purchased at my local Cricket store yesterday which perplexes me.
Also as a side note, you're given a default username which happens to be a string of random letters and numbers. For example, mine was "gfa9c5h7ttu5q" on my first iPhone 16e which would be really hard to remember and from what I can tell there's no way to change it: https://www.cricketwireless.com/s...e-password

For the one you are having an issue with, can you check the battery health in settings? Or does it just keep loading..

That's normal if you check the first time.

So is it better to transfer esim and then factory reset the device, removing esim, before trading it in?
There were several instances of people having issues after having transferred esim to Android devices. Where as the ones that transferred to iphone were ok.

Any indication on why your phone which was 2 weeks old was rejected? Did you transfer eSIM to an Android device? What about the other ones that were successful? Thanks.

So you just fully reset the iPhone 16e with deleting the eSIM and then traded in? I see an option to reset with or without deleting the eSIM on my iphone16e
No. The numbers were still active on the phones when I did the trade in. I did not reset the phones after activation.
Today I also traded my first ip16e which was delivered on Monday 9th no issues. This time I moved the number to my other iphone and reset the 16e before trading in.
Hopefully the ip16e + 13 from my last order will have no issues trading in when they deliver next week.

Yes, that's exactly what SlickShoes is saying, and I agree w/ his assessment. His reasonings I presume is so that you still have access to the account online in the instance Cricket offers another promo. You especially want to transfer it to a backup phone rather than the one you use as a daily driver which is my preference.

That's what I thought at first too, the one had issue is the one I've transfer the esim to an android phone, but then I see many people transfer esim to different phones then trade in without issue.
