T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

And phone trips today were a mixed bag.

Apple trade-ins of 13 and 16e went fine. No issues at all. And I got to take a look at the new neos... think that is what I'll use them on. But I'm a bit short for the fancier model, so need one more 16e.

Tried a Cricket store and it was... bad. Basically it confirmed all the negative thoughts I ever had about cell phone stores.

Walk in, dingy little store, but in the window it has an advertisement for the 16e at $49.95. I thought I might be in luck. Fellow says it's free even with a plan! Even better!

So I say okay, what is the final total. He comes back with: $256.

I just stare at him.

Sim card and activation fees + he'll throw in a free case and screen protector! Great Deal! I mention how it's even cheaper online and he says they just 'say anything' online, it doesn't mean anything. Oh, and he also mentions the fact that I need to keep the line for 6 months -- which he backed off on when I actually questioned him about that. Then he said it was just suggested...

He came down to $180 (plus I expect some taxes), but I walked out. Oh, and for an extra bonus, he asked how I was paying -- he seemed a little unhappy that I said credit card, he said he prefers cash. But he'd take it.

I was like what is this place? A store that wants cash only? And he just makes up things on the spot that I know aren't true.

Anyway, the first store I went to last week at $146 is looking a bit better. Online at $140 may be best, but has anyone successfully ordered from them after their recent changes? I only had one spare address to ship to .. are they still cancelling orders if shipped to home? My home address didn't even get an iphone, just a stylus.

What will you do with that phone? We bought it "brand new", What does Apple, Cricket or Metro say about that, We're take the loss? Sad.
I don't think anyone is at a loss here. Did you buy the phone for personal use? If so then pursue it with Cricket.

Well, issue is, can anyone even order online again? Guess I'll give that a try if all else fails but I ran out of places to mail to.

I have a question for anyone who has been successful in getting an online deal then in store AFTER.

In store you obviously have to show ID. When you give your ID will they be able to tell you're a current customer? By like machine the address on ID to the address you had phones shipped to from online orders? Thus ineligible for any "new customer" discounts?

Curious if anybody moved the eSIM to another iPhone and then mailed the phone to Apple and if they had any issues getting the gift card for the 16e?

Had appointment with Apple today, he said there's nothing he can do, even if he opened the phone and found nothing wrong.

That's exactly right. The cricket store I went into at first was selling the phone at Taxes + insurance + fees at a hefty price. I thought I would still take it. When they put my details in the system, the order did NOT go through. She said you can use a different email or phone number it still didn't go through. She said it's the address and it seems the system has disabled future orders on your address. My store also did NOT agree on using an alternative address - they said they have to go with the address on the id.

I'd suggest you try out a diff Cricket store locally in your area till one of them allows you to purchase the 16e w/ an alternate address...

To add another data point, I was able to trade in two iPhone 16e's and three iPhone 13s at the Apple Store, all in their original packaging, didn't run into any hiccups. We got the full trade-in amount for each phone. I had factory reset and erased the eSIMs from each phone before bringing them in. Everything went very smoothly.
