If you are signed into iCloud on both phones should be quick. On the phone to want to move the service to, go to settings > cellular > add esim > transfer from iPhoneKeep both phones together and the remaining steps should be straight forward
Will that work even though the cricket is locked? I managed to transfer one via chat/person, the other attempt was super super painful and they ended the chat on me.

Why so many phones having problems? Is Apple's quality got downgraded or Cricket did some customization??

i sent it sealed in the box. Clearly cricket is selling repaired phones as new.

Yes, I transferred esim from a locked Cricket phone to an unlocked phone and it worked fine. I assume if you are transferring esim to another Cricket locked device, it should not give any issue either since it is still Cricket service

Assuming that the phones that everybody is receiving are in brand new factory sealed boxes, it must be something on Apple's end.

Cricket to unlocked SE3, which is now fat with esims. I'll try that if this new chat doesn't work. I think I just got a bad rep... she seemed very confused from the start.

I might have taken a chance if it was an iPhone 13 value that only $195 and as you stated $100 insurance. But I had the 16 E which is valued at $310, and the shipping package they sent me was with FedEx not UPS. That's why I called Apple to ask about how much insurance, and they got a reply from the supervisor that there was no insurance on the box and prepaid label that they sent me. Hope you get your money soon.
FedEx covers liability upto $100 for all shipments.

Trying in store from Helium and the port is accepted, but the cart charging full price for the phone and not showing the discount. Anyone else had this issue? Admittedly I am trying to port out of Helium only a few hours after creating the number. But it was still accepted in the system only the discount/promo deal is not there (Charging full price).

That may be the case, but Apple representative told me that her supervisor said it was not insured. Maybe there was some confusion about whether or not they paid for additional insurance. Either way, with only $100 insurance I still would not have sent the 16e which was worth a $310 gift card. I was thinking of using a different box that did not look like the shape of a cell phone and doing it through USPS paying for the shipping and insurance myself. In the end I decided against it on this one device as I've read issues from several others in this thread about phones not passing inspection and worth $0 TIV. I'm just thankful that with the four phones I made enough to purchase a new iPhone 17 Pro at a huge discount!

I had that today in a store with a metro number, but was told it was because I had 2 devices on my acct. already (only one being a 16e). No idea if that is true, as some here seemed to get like bunch at a time per store... so who knows...

For those who had unauthorized modification phones... And possibly ordered the Pixel 10a - any chance it'll get rejected by Google (or whoever their trade-in partner is)?

Hmm... I get them to connect, but it doesn't budge from the transfer esim page. Just says keep them close together. But then nothing happens.

And no luck with other rep. 1st rep transferred first esim in like 2 min. Next rep was clueless... last rep wasn't much better, acted like she was going to activate an esim on the original device, then didn't seem to like it that I had esims stored on my SE. It's also holding things like textnow and some old dead esims, so may look more clogged than reality. But not sure why she cares.

Edit: Fixed it! Required a reboot and passcode set on original iphone. Since it was new, I never had that set up. Either that was it, or just some weird randomness.

OK got a couple 16e's in store.
Some ghetto store manager had to come in and somehow only then, it worked (two helium port-ins that were set up only hours earlier). Got stung with the insurance plan ($12/mo) and forced to sign up for hbo max bundled (free). But around 85 per phone.

Not bad at all. See if you can drop that $12 plan (unless for some reason you actually wanted it).

I had one store try to charge me $256 for one. Phone was free, plan was $60... just like $200 extra for sim card and activation, and a case/screen protector. Oh, and he wanted cash too, although begrudgingly would take a cc if he had to. Slightly suspicious...

I mentioned this to a worker at a different store today, and he said the guy probably wanted to pocket the difference and 'forget' to give a receipt. I really disliked going into most of these stores. One that worked out today with an actual purchase seemed honest... every other one felt like a used car dealership mixed with some sort of semi-criminal enterprise.
