Thanks for the reply. Wow, I didn't know those were on eBay. Could you share which seller? So did you buy 20 phones?
Pm to get details for eBay seller for port in number.

I had no idea what this is. Did anyone try it and find it comparable to how the apple employee ends up with value $0 for your iPhone?
Yes, someone else in here did this where that linked diagnostic passed but the one used by employees in store failed. The employees also have an exclusive web based version that we don't have access to unfortunately.

I reached the 5 line limit per account to get the promo. Has anyone changed their address online then went in store to create a new account with a new address?

How are people getting the trade-in kits from apple? Do they automatically get mailed to you, or is it a fedex qr code? Not seeing how to get either one of those...
you get 2 emails from apple. The second email has the tracking info of the kit

Confirmed though I only see tracking info for the entire trade in, no tracking on the kit itself.

on the email click on the trade in order number which is highlighted blue for me, then on the next page click on "track shipment" and it will take you to FedEx tracking. In my case, I see the actual trade in kit tracking plus the return label tracking

I was unable to add a third line at a cricket store today. When they tried to checkout they said the system kept showing full price and he had to call his manager who said there's a limit of two of the deal per customer total. I'm super confused since I see other folks have added 3rd and 4th lines.

Totally depends on the store.

I just went to a Apple Store to use my $310 gift cards and they kept getting declined. As each gift card was entered by the employee, it would show the $310 being applied. When the final gift card was applied, it would say the transaction was declined.

The store employee said the gift cards were flagged as fraud and told me to call Apple Support. Apple Support said the gift cards were locked before they were activated with the $310 and transferred me to the store where I traded in the phones. The store claimed everything was fine but the gift cards still don't work.

Looking at this and the "unauthorized modification" issue that others had, Apple and their stores seem to be running some scam.
Just wanted to lend some credence to this. This happened to a buddy of mine as well. Strangely enough, it was only while using 2 of the $310 gift cards to buy a MacBook Neo. The gift cards were applied directly to his Apple Account Balance. Same thing, couldn't process it in store. He contacted Apple Support, the funds were marked as potentially fraudulent and they had to create a ticket. It was resolved within 48 hours. Still, pretty crazy this happened in the first place.

The fact that phones are sometimes being determined as $0 is troubling as well, though not an issue exclusive to this deal. I have quite a lot of phones to trade in so really hoping I don't run into any issues.

Thanks for the DP. I believe a takeaway might be that even though who ever got the gift card from Apple including me, it might be better to try spend it right away instead of holding on to it and ending up in a situation where they might have been marked as fraudulent in the backend.

Why would the gift cards be marked as fraudlent? Apple is a big company and technically their gift card should NEVER expire and NOT be marked as Fraudlent if they were issued by a Apple store.

I had one store tell me they couldn't sell me a 3rd line and get a 16e discount (one wasn't even a 16e), so it's not just you.

Yeah, not sure why some others got a ton of them and why some other stores seem to have different rules.

You could try for a 13 if all else fails... and they sell at a reasonable price. Not as good a deal but better than nothing -- what I ended up doing.

Can anyone explain the current 16e deal with three months payment? The terms and conditions says they credit all/some of the cost?
