Unlocked Motorola Moto G Power 2024 5G 128GB/8GB Blue + New Line Activation with Verizon $29.99 BestBuy

https://www.bestbuy.com/product/m...ku/6572573

Steps to follow to get the deal:

1. Go to Bestbuy Listing for Motorola Moto G Power 2024 5G 128GB/8GB Blue and choose "We'll help to connect this with carrier".
2. Choose Verizon and then new number (you can also choose to transfer a number but given that you are going to cancel it first thing new number is better).
3. Go through checkout and fill out verizon related info. Note down the account PIN you used as you might need it later during cancellation.
4. You can pick the phone up in the store. After pickup, setup verizon account with the new phone number.
5. Chat with CS to cancel the account. Activation fee is waived if cancelled within 3 days.
6. The phone is factory unlocked, sealed and ready to be used with any provider.

Personally, I don't do these activation deals at Best Buy but people have had better experiences. If you can make it work for yourself, its a great device for $30, especially being unlocked.

This Moto G Power 2024 is a budget unlocked phone that stands out for solid reception, decent everyday speed, and a comfortable rubber like back. The display and overall feel get strong marks, and it works well as a basic daily driver on carriers like Tello, Google Fi, and Verizon. The main drawbacks are weak rear camera performance and reports of slow or spotty connectivity on some networks. The Verizon activation bundle also adds hassle, with possible plan requirements, fees, and cancellation follow up, so it fits best if you want the phone more than the carrier promo.

Common Questions (5)

  • It can be a solid budget daily driver with good speed, display, and feel, and several reports say Motorola radios give strong reception or connectivity. The main caveat is that some users found the rear camera weak and a few reported poor connectivity or slow performance.

  • The line can be cancelled through Verizon chat, and some buyers report doing it the same day or within 3 days to avoid activation charges. Verizon may still post a small charge later, so it helps to save screenshots and confirm the cancellation in writing.

  • Yes. The phone is unlocked and not tied to Verizon, so it can be used on other carriers or plans after purchase. The Verizon piece is only part of the promotional activation bundle, not a device lock.

  • With a voucher, some buyers got it down to about $20 out the door, and one report put the total around $35-$40 after a later Verizon charge dispute. A Visible bundle was also described as about $110 total with a month of Visible service included.

  • Yes. Checkout can require selecting a Verizon plan, and the cheapest option shown is $75/month, so the deal may not proceed unless you choose a carrier plan. The phone itself is unlocked; Verizon is only tied to the bundled line activation used for the discount.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I just did this on Tuesday. Verizon LIED and said they were going to cancel everything asap. They told me to check back within 24hrs All the charges were still there. I had to get back on chat for a second time to get the charges removed. Nothing was in the notes as promised and I spent about 2-3hrs total in chat with them. Only do this if you don't mind dealing with them.

For what it is worth, my sister had lousy connectivity with this phone, and ended up switching to another phone.
I have this exact phone and it is has better reception/connectivity than my Galaxy S25+. Can't beat Motorola radios honestly.

I'm so confused.

I find that surprising, but glad it works for you.

Bought this in Jan of 2025 to fill in for my Z Fold5 while it got repaired. Gave it to my kids for use after that. It's been on the Tello 2GB plan since then and been great. Honestly, the only reason I didnt keep it was the rear camera was pretty poor performing. The device's speed, display, and feel were all great and met all of my daily needs. I think I paid $175 or $200 cash for unlocked at that time. One nice thing about the phone is the back is like rubber/vegan leather, so I may have rocked it caseless had I not given it to the kids.

If you sign on with Verizon then cancel it right after, can they reclaim the phone number (leaving you phone number-less)? I need a number with the phone. And if you activate with Verizon, aren't you committed for at least the month that you have sign up?

It appears you can choose either Verizon or AT&T. (does that also include MVNO supported companies that use Verizon or AT&T? The page also pairs it with an option to buy Visible services. I wonder if that is just a "paid ad" to use Visible).

At&t is an option as well... Are they "easier" to cancel with as opposed to Verizon?

VZ option only gets you the lowest monthly rate of $75, whereas the AT&T is much more as an out the door price. Then there is the $40 activation fee. This is looking like a no deal here. Perhaps simply buy the $130 unlocked option without hassle and go to number barn for a phone number.
