I bought the same hiking shoes in women's version and received them yesterday. Tried them around house for about an hour. Here are what I found:

1) As a non-waterproof version, the uppers are made from textile. Although they are not heavy, they are about 10% heavier than my last pair of low hikers - Merrell Accent 3. 2) They are huge, as long as my Adidas Supernova Rise 2 running shoes - which I had to go down half a size after my first pair. 3) They are stiff. The insoles are very thin providing no cushion. 4) Their heel counters are at least 10mm higher than my Adidas running shoes and my low hikers from other brands. After wearing them for an hour around house, I saw red spots on my ankles from the heel counter irritation even with thick socks.

At the end, I had to put a pair of Dr Scholl's insoles inside, which helped 2), 3), and 4) somewhat. I run in Adidas running shoes everyday and I am happy with them though none of them has a retail price below $140. Now I realized that I probably should stay away from the budget version of Adidas shoes and be patient enough waiting for their better shoes on sale.

I bought the adidas Men's Terrex Anylander boot couple of weeks back. I'm not sure how much similarity is between the shoes and the boots.

the boots I got are very lightweight. The external material almost resembles cardboard, very rigid. Seems a little too roomy in some spots so I guess a thicker socks would probably help. Haven't hiked in it yet though so I can't comment on that. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten the Hooka one that's on SD a few days later for more $$$.

It's still showing as free for me. Make sure you're logged in, or maybe try incognito or a different browser?

I am wearing my second pair of these. The first pair got me through 7 months of an extreme yardwork project, the second pair is so cozy I wear them around the house, walking the dog, and hiking. I just ordered two more pairs for when these wear out. Incredibly comfortable, durable, light weight, with great support and a large toe box. Highly recommended at any price.

Would you say these are true to size? I'm a 12.5 but wear 13 depending on the brand. These would be exclusively used for walking on sidewalks and paved trails.

Good to know that parks destroy these shoes, and not the activity.

I'll be sure to stay away from "parks" especially on the weekend.

You'll want parking shoes for parks.

You can get $50 in gift cards for $35 from Groupon. So price of this should be $35 and you'll have some credit leftover. That SD15 code worked on Terrex Anylander Rain.rdy Hiking Shoes for me.

I moved 250,000 pounds of soil, laid 700 sq ft of sod, landscaped 35 plants, installed a sprinkler and drip system, and built 80 feet of fencing in one pair, then proceeded to wear them for another few months before ordering another pair.
