Don't forget that this also has Bowser's Fury. A standalone single player open world adventure. It was a lot of fun. It's new to the Switch version.

Bowser's Fury is a completely different game style than Super Mario 3D World.

3D World harkens back to the 2D Mario games like 3 and World, in terms of having linear-ish levels that you might replay to discover all the secrets or improve your time

Bowser's Fury is an open world that expands as you play through the game, with some fun ways to traverse. The only thing it really shares with 3D World is the powerups and the obsession with cats

Calling it "DLC" is completely inaccurate. I think of DLC as additional levels or content in the same vein of the original game (for better or worse). This is a completely separate game, that might be shorter than a full Mario game but explores some interesting ideas that so far haven't really been in a Mario game - kind of like each different land in Odyssey, except much larger

I have spent 100s of hours with this game. absolute must own especially for families. I hope they make a sequel for switch 2.
