I don't tend to use the Audio much, since I'm in bed and don't want to wake the wife, but some bluetooth earbuds and these are a perfect combo. In a pitch-black room you can't see anything except the screen, and it's massive. Laying in bed with these things on is such a great experience.
I looked at the Luma Pros and if this deal would have been up before I bought the 1S (for $450 on sale) I would have jumped on it...and I'm glad it wasn't. The 3DoF features are massive for the usefulness of these devices.
What are you babbling about ?
No, they are not good for most wide-use cases as the tech needs to get better. Your "well, it's better than nothing/in a pinch" argument also doesn't really work since they're still $329+.
This is one piece of tech that is it better to wait on until it advances somewhat.
I think the Pro XR is a great entry point for the price it's been on sale at...this might be a bit higher than some people's "try out" range...but hopefully prices will drop even more.
