nice build for the price, but when upright it reaches up to my neck. Not recommended for anyone over 5'10. Easy to install.

Just received and set mine up last night. Did a little workout with it afterwards. As far as putting together, it was pretty simple for the most part. I would say it's fairly sturdy. I found the adjusting easier to be done than previous reviews suggested. The headrest is on the short side, definitely agree with previous comment that it's more ideal for 5'8 and under but I could make it work at 5'11. I'd say my biggest complain is the bench comfort itself, it really lacks in that department, especially if you are doing ab crunches. That being said, a high end bench would run $250-500 easy so for $60, I would recommend this for the "casual" home gym. I should specify, I would recommend this for anyone 6' or under and 200ish lbs or less. Any taller or heavier and I'd start to get nervous about potential injuries, especially with heavy weights. Would recommend a more solid/ supportive bench for those individuals.

I'm 5'8, wondering how much of my head will be on the headrest...
According to the product pics, the back is around 31.5 inches long. You could measure how tall you sit in a chair and figure it out that way. This all goes out the window, of course, if the product description isn't accurate... which on Amazon... yeah, you know...

Is there a good folding bench that is not short and also does decline?

can't you just scoot down? i don't know why you'd need your head supported for anything with the back up. even an incline press you should be able to scoot down some

It's 3 feet from bottom to top
I'm 5'8 and it's maybe an inch lower than the top of my head when fully upright. It's a solid build.

I generally do 1000lb. But this can only hold 990lb. Can't pull the trigger on this.
Can't pull the trigger? Sounds like you got soft hands, weak forearms.

So when flat or incline or decline it's better? Just fully upright where the 5'8" cut off seems to be?

I got a cheap adjustable bench. It's terrible. Better to get a fixed unadjustable or just spend the money to get something safe.
