The cheapest fooodsavers are the best option for these bag sealers. No need to spend over $35 or $40 and be frustrated with the automatic features that don't work.
I've been doing sous vide for a while using Ziploc bags, but now that I'm getting serious about meal prep, especially keto meals, I'm wondering if it's finally time to invest in a vacuum sealer. Does anyone notice a big difference in convenience or food quality compared to just using bags?

Yes, very much so. I'll buy in 'bulk' (multiple units on sale, larger packs), pre-season, freeze, then throw them right in the S-V out of the freezer. Vacuum sealing them keeps the meat a lot 'fresher' (less freezer burn, etc.)
