Note: NOT split-phase out of the box; you need two at least. There are units which are split phase capable from Eco-worthy (including the Liber6K) and others (for a lot less!) but don't get confused by the marketing here.

CORRECT, this one is SINGLE PHASE ONLY. The NEW MODEL is SPLIT PHASE and cheaper than this one. I just posted link below.

Can you please compare the two inverters? Is one better quality than the other ?

They're similar quality, but one of the biggest differences is the AC input the charger is compatible with. This can use a standard 120v outlet, the other (cheaper) one linked in a post needs 220v.

The split phase inverter that I posted is better. If you live in USA and want to connect inverter to your HOME BREAKER PANEL, you MUST NEED SPLIT PHASE INVERTER. If you get this single phase inverter, you need 2 inverters to connect parallel for split phase. But the inverter I posted is split phase already. Split phase inverter is better in anything.

Both inverter is 5000 WATT AC OUTPUT
This inverter has 5000 WATT MAX SOLAR INPUT. But SPLIT PHASE INVERTER has 6,600 WATT MAX SOLAR INPUT
This inverter has 40 AMP MAX AC INPUT. Split phase inverter has 50 AMP MAX AC INPUT.

You are WRONG. SPLIT PHASE INVERTER is meaning that USING 2 PHASE 120V to make 240V. You could use 120V microwave or 240V like dryer and electric stove. It is not single phase 240V like in Europe and Asia.

I'm not wrong, I wasn't referring to output. If you're planning to use the panel to charge a battery, this can use a 120v circuit. The other one requires 220v. Please work on your reading comprehension.

For anyone interested, please look at diysolarforum.com . They have more expertise than anyone here, and have had numerous discussions about these panels.

My bad for misunderstand. But I don't know anyone buy this inverter for USING 120V CHARGING. The split phase inverter has L1 (120V) and L2 (120V) for INPUT and OUTPUT. If you just want 120V, you could use only L1 for 120V input. I think it also work for 120V CHARGING as well.

The description for the split phase specifically says 220v only. Eco-worthy added this to the description because of the confusion about the two panels after customers purchased the 220v and realized they couldn't use it.

Some people buy these for hand truck builds. That use case often only needs a 120v AC input.

So will the other unit listed at Ali only charge using 220v? I thought you could simply not connect the other leg and it would charge the battery ok

Just making sure everyone knows that the this single phase inverter is UL listed and the new 5-6KW inverter is NOT. If you need a permit, you should buy this one. If you need 240V split phase, then buy 2 of these. I think that the new model is NOT manufactured by SRNE. To me, this one is better because you can parallel this unit (up to 6 of them) so you can grow your system.
