My two cents:
This is slightly better than C5 but worse than G5.
This is Samsung's 2nd best OLED. Samsung S95F is better but more expensive.

I scored this for $1538 a couple weeks ago but it game with a free 43in TV. That turned into a 50in TV due to lack of enough 43in TV. I love the 77in so far.

I disconnect Internet from the TV and use my Shield as the streaming box. I even download it's firmware manually and update from the USB drive. Disconnecting Internet from the TV is the best thing to do for high-end Samsung OLED TVs, or even all smart TVs until these companies stop capitalizing on user time.

Waiting until the S95F goes onto these wild EPP deals, the matte coating is a game changer. Glossy screens are such annoying garbage. No more having to rearrange the entire room around what kind of glare is on the ridiculous mirrorball TV.

Matte dulls the contrast though, which Oled is known for. Oled for dark room, Mini-Led for bright room, at least until Micro-led comes.

I paid $1699 two months ago through Samsung but that came with a 4 year Samsung Warranty and wall mounting. Good deal, great TV.

.......On top of that, keep using Internet directly from the TV would cause so much issues from the TV's internal components such as straining the CPU to process data; thus, reducing the TV longevity. The longevity of high-end OLED TV is important to me, so I avoid straining its components as much as I can by transferring streaming resource to my Shield.
Please point to the resource or study that state this, because this sounds like nonsense you just made up.

Not going to argue with you or prove myself. However, Id recommend reading up threads on AVS forum or search how overheating is causing performance issue. I am just that guy, being extra careful about my investment. You do you, I do me.

To each his own, but I do prefer the cleaner look of Android TV and the efficiency of the Shield if users can afford it. On top of that, keep using Internet directly from the TV would cause so much issues from the TV's internal components such as straining the CPU to process data; thus, reducing the TV longevity. The longevity of high-end OLED TV is important to me, so I avoid straining its components as much as I can by transferring streaming resource to my Shield.
I've had an LG C9 for 8 years and have always used the internet TV via WiFi and have had absolutely 0 problems. These TVs are computers. They have the same WiFi capabilities a laptop you'd buy would have. Would you ever not use the WiFi on your laptop because it could shorten its life?

So this S95G is Qdot OLED yeah? Heard the colors are better? And now you're telling me it has a matte coating? Matte dims the picture pop

I'm not interested in phony over saturated "picture pop". I just want good quality and not a mirror.

We're not talking about saturation. Funny enough it seems the reason people like Samsung is because of oversaturation. I am talking about contrast, sharp, pop clear. I have had an 83" B5 and 77" C5. The B5 had a matte screen which had less picture pop and the C5 was more vibrant. Not because of brigthness, but because the matte muddies stuff

Does anyone have a screenshot with the final checkout page for the $1538? I'm trying to do a price adjustment. I bought the deal for 1615.
