  • Shared-Progression Cross-Play Cooperative Play – Both players now save all main story progress as long as they're on the same "New Game" and have defeated a similar number of main bosses within one. Both players retains all loot, 100 percent vigor, and can revive each other in all online sessions.
  • Free Friend's Pass – Invite any friend to join your adventure in online co-op even if they don't own the game. Friends keep loot and character progress, plus get full offline access to the tutorial and character creator
  • Revamped Combat and Movement – V2.0 adds smoother animations, better weapon response, refined lock-on, improved evasions, and new grievous strike prompts

This is the 2023 release (not the 2014 one). I played a bit on GamePass and it seemed decent but not a soulslike on a Lies of P or FromSoft level (more on par with Mortal Shell imo)

For anyone who cares, the publisher made anti-DEI statements last year (not here to argue about it just an fyi)

I have played souls, demons souls elden ring and this one. It is a good game, not excellent like elden ring but, it is a good game. It has received several updates which improved the game overall. Lords of fallen 2 will come out this year.

I just played this one 2023 and the 2014 just recently. I just played through and finished the 2014 game twice in a row which is rare for me, but an absolute great game and you can pick it up for around $2. The 2023 is okay but completely different than the 2014 one. They are planning on making LOTF II and I really hope they make it more like the 2014 version, much more enjoyable.

This is definitely better than the awful original game, but still not a very good game. I hated the checkpoint system with the seeds, and the umbral lamp and umbral realm got real old, real fast. I love a good Souls-like, but there are much better ones. I bailed on this in about 15 hours or so and traded it in.
