As always, $6 gets you 3 more ports, so 5 ports reserve for an 8 port switch versus 2 ports reserve for a 5 port switch if you figure that 3 ports will be occupied right out of the box on any switch you buy (and the marginally larger size of the 8 port switches can be overcome by wall mounting them if you don't have shelf space):

These are managed switches (VLANs etc.), so if you don't need the management functions(and if you don't know what managed functions are, you don't need them), a regular old 8 port "dumb" switch is a better deal:
