VIPoutlet (VIP Outlet) - Retailer warning and feedback database thread
This retailer is absolutely abhorrent. They're so large they can't keep track of their inventory, ship damaged items, or ship the wrong item. This is worse because they're selling returned inventory. There's a ton of stories about their awful support and people needing to chargeback for a refund or deciding it's not worth the effort and losing their money. They're customer support is literally an overseas call center where people "take notes" and refer to a specialist who is supposed to call back, but I never received any follow up. Even when the incorrect or damaged items are returned there's a chance you get no money back.
I just ended up fighting these people on a transaction and it took 3 months before luckily Ebay stepped in to force a refund after they sent the wrong item and I returned it. A month later I received an "automated" email the return was in the warehouse and they would issue a refund after the item was inspected. This is literally 4 months after purchase. Insane. At this point you're outside your window to issue a chargeback from your credit card.
I see a steady stream of feedback every time this vendor is posted, but no centralized place where feedback is collected. Please post feedback for this vendor here and post so others can see. Here's a collection from the last few months:

When I opened it, the subwoofer had a corner somewhat smashed in (neither the box nor the Styrofoam over that corner was damaged at all), and it was missing the satellite speaker cables and the optical audio cable. I reached out to them repeatedly, but it was over a month before they reached back out, and it took about three weeks from that first contact and a threat to take it to eBay directly before they begrudgingly issued a minimal partial refund so I could buy the replacement parts to make it whole. No consideration for the damage to the subwoofer or anything. All in all, the item works and the price was pretty good, so I'll survive, but frustration like that is worth some money to me, so I won't buy from them again. |

I will get every chance to report VIPoutlet. I have delt with them several times on eBay without issue. On my last order for 2 RIG headsets for Playstation from a deal that was posted on here, I was emailed by them they only had one in stock and shipped that 1 to me. Its description was open box but it was obviously used when I got it. I emailed them and told them that I was never refunded for the other one. No response for days so I open a dispute on eBay. They quickly responded and told me to close out the dispute so they can refund me. I did and a week later, no response, refund or anything from them. This was my first time disputing anything on eBay so I was surprised that once you close a dispute, you cannot reopen it. Buyers beware of this shady company. Remember, I have delt with them several times in the past with no issues, but no idea why they decided to be shady here. |

I will also jump on this bandwagon. I purchased a Samsung soundbar/subwoofer combo from them recently and they sent me Hart brand shop vac instead. They wouldn't respond to any messages I sent so I initiated a return through eBay and had to drag it to Fedex to return ship. Confirmed delivery of the return and eBay indicated to expect a refund by XX date, which was a couple of weeks later. The literal night before the last day before refund, they finally respond to my original message trying to outline some convoluted return process they wanted me to follow. Thankfully, eBay sent the refund the next day. Absolute trash seller.

I purchased an open box TV from them 3 weeks ago, it arrived with the complete bottom frame of the TV plastic cracked and the entire screen cracked. Meanwhile the styrofoam inside the box was perfectly intact. This means that they never inspected the TV whenever they received it as an open box, maybe just Open the box and looked at the top and then sealed it back up. Was a huge pain dealing with the return and the refund. No possible way the TV could have been in this condition without destroying the box and especially the styrofoam inside. Awful seller

The issue with vipoutlet is quality control. They sell used items as open box. Return process is slow and if it's a large item, you are expected to take to FedEx and if it's not properly packed up for return, FedEx will not ship back. I think it's better to pay a little more and get from Costco; Best Buy or Amazon. Avoid possible return issues

I just know that my last purchase, a surround sound speaker set, described as this item - "New Damaged Box - Inventory is in Brand New, Unused & Fully Functional condition however the outer packaging will show signs of scuffs, dents, rips or may have also been repackaged." - had a smashed in corner on the subwoofer and no cables other than the power, so I had to buy the cables for the satellite speakers separately and use audio cables I already had. I spent several weeks emailing them with no response, and finally when I threatened to go direct to eBay, they responded and eventually refunded me $20 (barely more than the cost of the speaker cables). No concern about the incorrect description of the condition or the audio cables (since I hadn't explicitly purchased them for this). I felt insulted, and they made it clear they feel no obligation to honor their listings. They basically just chalked it up as an "oopsie" and told me to get lost after throwing $20 at me. So, as for me and my house, we'll get lost and not worry about doing business with them ever again. |

My reason is that I tried to buy 4 items when they had a bunch posted earlier this month with coupons. I changed my mind and wanted to cancel one. They refused my cancellation and kept my money well past the delivery date and only refunded hours before eBay's window to take action closed.

The kicker is that they actually cancelled the other three items within a couple of days and refunded them later. These cancelled a ton of slickdealer orders after holding the money for a few days. People claim this is Walmart's version of Target's bulleye's deals, but the people in Bentonville usually don't manage things so poorly |
