I can't speak to the other sizes, but this isn't a killer deal in the 85". It was $1800 at most places in November/December with Amazon offering 10% with their Prime card. Likewise, it was about $2K for a couple of weeks in February.

Good TV, though. I like mine. It

I got the QM8K 75" and one month in I have two dead pixels and a line through half the screen. They are sending me a new one but it's inconvenient. Anyone else have a similar issue?

This was priced the same for the 98" model before Thanksgiving, definitely a solid deal. That said, after owning the 98" QM8K for about a month, I ended up returning it and switching to a Sony Bravia 9 (85").

If you mainly watch 4K HDR or other high-bitrate content, the TCL will likely impress you. However, if you also spend time watching standard TV (like YouTube TV or over-the-air broadcasts), I'd reconsider. The image processing and upscaling just don't measure up to Sony and LG. On a screen approaching 100", weaker upscaling becomes very noticeable, resulting in a soft-looking image, even from about 12 feet away.I tried adjusting every setting, using a wired Ethernet connection, and even relying on external devices like Apple TV and Nvidia Shield for upscaling, but nothing improved the picture enough to eliminate the issue.

The Bravia 9, on the other hand, has been excellent, accurate colors, natural skin tones, and overall superior processing. The Bravia 7 uses the same processor as the 9, so it's also worth considering.

why bother with this when you can get c5 or s90f around same or cheper (for 77 or less)
For one, screen burn in on OLEDs is still very much a thing, and if you use your TV for a monitor you're asking for issues.

I think the Hisense 100" TVs are cheaper. Then again they may not be mini-LED. I forget.
The QM8Ks vs the U8QGs are not at the same level as I sadly discovered at Best Buy the other day. However, they are a better deal if you aren't super picky about quality - this Hisense generation isn't 'bad', but the TCL's are objectively better.

after a lot of research this is clearly a lie. i am so tired of this nonsense.
That most OLEDs have issues in bright rooms? It is very clearly not nonsense.

I've been following this TV for a while and it fluctuates between 2 prices since August. This price and $1k more.

By all accounts it's an incredible TV for the price. Reviews generally state it's not worth the price difference for the QM9k.

Been debating picking this up instead of a projector but it's hard to let go of my 65" LG OLED...
cant compare to projector, i have 83 behind a retractable screen(120") and projector blows away the tv everytime. tv for regular watching, projector for movies

The modal price for this since it was introduced 9 months ago has been exactly this price, $3000. Sometimes they bump it higher in order to milk an extra $1k out of those who are not price sensitive, and then fool a subset of buyers that it's "on sale" for $3000, but for 9 months it has not meaningfully gone below that baseline of $3000. I continue to patiently wait for an actual price drop, but I'm impressed they've managed to hold the line for this long.
I know, right? Like, they bumped the 85" up to Sony prices again a couple weeks back and now it's back to the 'regular' price. In MARCH!

I've got an 85" Bravia 7. Have you had any issues with glowing clouds and bands around the border in certain black-heavy images? I literally had to sue Sony in order to get anything done about it.
