I'm wondering why there isn't as much hype with this deal as other dewalt polesaw deals that pop up?

Do you need another 5AH battery? Because at the standard $10/AH price that makes the polesaw $149 and it's been cheaper but Fasteners has it for $149 bare right now so if you don't need another 5AH then buy it there.

ETA: Mine stopped working last fall, I filled out the warranty request on https://www.toolservicenet.com/en/ and sent it in with the label they issued and they sent me a brand new boxed one, no questions asked or charges, back to me 2 weeks later.

I have two dewalt batteries, so I don't imagine I'd need the extra battery on this package, so appreciate that callout.

How long had you owned it to still get the warranty claim approved?

Also, does this pole saw meet most of your needs?

A couple months shy of 3 years. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

I have multiple chainsaws but for hitting moderate branches high up with out getting out the huge extension ladder and getting way up into the trees it works well. All chainsaws can leak so store it with the cap upright and you'll be fine, I've never had it leak out of anywhere else.
