Are the bags better or worse then the 12 pack boxes?

Last 2 orders of the 12 pack boxes (they were on sale + s&s with 5+ items)

Were $8.17 and $8.60

This comes out to $8.87 per bag for me. Just not sure about the value of the single bag over the boxes.
