Only thing I am weary with for Motorola is they do not send updates all that long compared to others.

If you don't mind pink, the razr+ on woot is probably better for $400. Bigger cover display and specs. Also brand new.

Most people seem to not keep their phones longer than 2 years anyway.

I do, and I know a ton of people who do. I honestly feel like if their Razr line is supposed to be their premium line it should at least get 4-5yrs of updates. My friend bought one of their flagship phones and only got 2yrs of updates, it was not a cheap phone either. 2-3yrs of updates is not acceptable in todays environment since everything is way more expensive and some people don't update to the latest and greatest every year or 2.

I paid $1000 for this in September. Mine has 4 times the memory. I am "iffy" about it. To many nits about it. It seems like settings change on their own or the phone thinks it knows what I should do better then I do.
If I had to replace it, I might go for it at this price but not the original price I paid.

I get it, I keep mine as long as possible too as long as the battery holds out. Just saying the majority don't. Which is why they go with the 2 yr updating plan. I think it is one os upgrade and the 2 years of security updates and they are done with that phone. Then the battery dies and ppl upgrade if they haven't already because they want the latest and greatest waste of money!

For people don't know, the fold screen has problems down the line. If you switch your phone out regularly, maybe it's not an issue, but if you keep phones long, these arent as durable.

Is this deal really that great? I'm a little incredulous. About a month ago, BestBuy had the Razr+ 2024 and 2025 iterations, open box excellent for like $220 and $270 respectively. They both featured 12 GB of RAM and the SD 8s Gen 3 CPU, which is almost twice as powerful as the Dimensity 8020 that's in this phone.

I picked up the 2024 Razr+, which ended up being $200 and change after tax. It was effectively NIB and a good deal for that price, but I don't know how I would have felt at nearly 2.5x the price.

Before anybody asks me for a time machine, you can still get it renewed from Amazon for $326. Again, it has about twice the horsepower of this phone and costs over a hundred bucks less. And I get the renewed versus new distinction. But I think it's just hard to get worked up over this phone at that price.

I have the 2024 razr. Honestly, wouldn't buy this phone again. The folding feature is gimmicky and just makes good cases impossible. I rarely ever fold the phone. It's crazy thick with a case and noticeably thick when naked. It's more comfortable while open in the pocket. Since my case broke, I've just been using it naked.

Does the phone stop working without updates?

Before purchasing a Motorola phone research the glance app that comes pre installed and can't be disabled. I just purchased 3 moto phones and I had to switch them all to Samsung because the glance app interferes with the medical app I need. Literally a potentially life or death situation and Motorola will not do anything to help.
