In 2000 my barber's head touched grass during the original Razor scooter craze. And by grass, I mean asphalt. Permanently "altered"
Betweent the lack of gyroscopic stability from larger wheels to their inability to handle large gravel chunks, I think it's worthwhile for some safety rehashing in each thread, especially for the noobs.
Understood, thank you sir. I weigh ~145 pounds, so even with 5-6 pounds of groceries, I think I'll be good with this one (and a helmet!).
The only other part I'm thinking through (since I've never had a scooter) is if there are any preferred lock types for e-scooters vs regular bicycles? Meaning, when parking at the grocery store on a bike rack (which I'm assuming the grocery stores will have, haven't looked for them per se). I was thinking of something like the below which has 4 feet of give on the cable, or a non-combo pure steel one like the second below.

I see these all the time, especially at schools, that never have any locks on them. Traditional bikes, sure, but aren't e-bikes/e-scooters mostly secure as far as riding away it with? I guess someone can part it out?

Weird. Would have pulled the trigger otherwise.
I've had two unicycles in the past. It does take some getting used to, but if you can ride a bike, you can find your balance in an hour or two. Much more compact than a scooter and you have your hands free. Highly recommend it. I kept it in the trunk and pulled it out whenever I parked too far and needed to do a quick run.
