FYI, if you don't like Amazon. You can purchase the phone directly from Nothing and get a $100 credit to use on the site.

The 3a that I have works with T-Mobile without any hiccups. The 4a pro should be just as easy to activate as "the bigger brands"

Rumors say the founder of Nothing was an executive of OnePlus. He left OnePlus after Oppo fully acquired OnePlus.

Carl Pei built OnePlus. The only real question is if Nothing is actually liberated from CCP, or just going to fall into the same doom loop OnePlus did once CCP got their hands into it.

Get Redmagic air 11 instead
This isn't a terrible idea, I almost bought one, but unfortunately it doesn't support all the US bands for T-Mobile or AT&T.

Did not know this was a CCP phone. It may not have bloatware but you know it's sending info home - like all CCP products.

I'm going to chime in here and advise against that based on my personal experience with Nothing and their "credit." I was a supporter of Nothing. I bought the Phone (1) via the developer program. I was a Black Dot holder, their NFT, which they terminated. With the termination, they provided an $80 credit which was good through they end of 2024, which was fair in my mind.

However, I was never able to use it. They never had phones that I wanted in stock. I tried throughout the year. I did not want a CMF phone. I'd get emails telling me that the newer Nothing phone was in stock. These would be sent in the middle of the night US time. By the time I saw them, there was no inventory and no ability to back order.

A year went by, credit expired, and I lost all faith in Nothing. They don't deliver and they can't be counted on. My Phone 1 began to bulge a little over a year after owning. Fortunately, I found a local repair shop in who replaced the battery perfectly for $90. The repair tech kept asking me "Why did you buy this phone?" He was right in a sense, but I wanted a dual-SIM phone and the Nothing brand seemed like a good choice. The glyph lights in this phone are cut gimmick that I disabled almost immediately as they could not convey any useful information.

Bottom line, if you want this phone, an Amazon credit is far more trustworthy than a credit from Nothing. They really do live up to their name when it comes to expectations. If you expect Nothing, you will not be disappointed.

I can't speak for Nothing Phone 4, but the Phone 1 only works in the US on T-Mobile. I carried it along with a Pixel 6a. Interestingly enough, in some spotty areas, one would work better than the other.

Nothing is based in England but it's largely owned by China. It's clear Pei wanted distance from Beijing, but it's unclear if he's going to be able to keep it.

OnePlus meanwhile got gobbled up by Oppo and now is first rate CCP... Stuff.

OnePlus will withdraw from US. You don't have to fear them anymore lol
