I just installed the front part of this. If you get the hardwire kit, make sure to get the one including the fuses. My ID10T self bought the cheaper one which didnt include the fuses...
How hard was it to install? I know nothing about cars.

The hardwire kit is simple to install, but will take time and know-how of how to go through the firewall (wall between steering wheel/dash/inside of car and the engine/outside of car).
But it is simple. The camera will be powered by the car battery through this kit, a fuse is extremely and highly recommended for safety reasons since almost everything in the car is connected to fuses in some form or another for our safety (devices won't pull more current than the fuse and thus not catch on fire, etc).
The camera will work without a fuse.
Dashcam installation is simple but time consuming, 10 mins if you have done it before and an hour if you haven't. It's mainly pulling the plastic panels to place the wiring.
Some rearview mirrors are powered. They sell a kit that taps into that.
magnusson moss act. its illegal to deny warranty unless they can actually prove your modifications caused the damage. They'll try, but if you know the law they'll back down. Dealerships actually have to have this posted in their service centers.
My A119 seemed to record everything, but would always switch back to kmh randomly. Got in an accident and it recorded right up to the hit and then froze. It started recording again after the hit. Video stops right before impact on playback.

You can get an OBD2 adapter, if your car has OBD2 port. They come in single and dual ports. USB-A and USB-C. You can get a dual port and plug in 2 cameras.

And so there are lemon laws also. Go through the hoops of proof, not fun and guaranteed.

Could be loose wiring? Thats pretty bad, definitely defeats the purpose. Ive had terrible luck with dash cams in general, have a vantrue that managed to fail recording 2 seperate fender benders and an old Rexing that failed to record 1/1 accident. Just looking for something reliable at this point. Trying the A229 pro 2-channel.
Looking at the 3 channel a229 and it looked like it's the lowest price it's been in a while. Have you seen better?
Not sure if this is what's going on, but sites like Triple Camel don't show price after coupons/promos which third-party sellers frequently use, so it's possible the price may have been lower but not recorded. Either that or they're just saying nonsense.
