Once again it just doesn't make sense to buy a CPU outside of a bundle currently unless you absolutely don't need the other parts eg https://www.microcenter.com/produ...ild-bundle
That's $369 of RAM for another $270 and you also get a motherboard.

If you need 32 GB of DDR5 right now, sure. Also, not a great time to do that. Because of the RAM shortage, the 7700X bundle is way overpriced. Much better to go with a cheaper X3D / 16 GB bundle, or just find used OEM memory local. I'm stocked up on modules, so $200 for this CPU would be fine, with a board in the $100-130 range. No way I'm paying $369 for 32 GB, so the bundle math doesn't work like you've posted.

Great CPU and a very good price. Built a gaming PC with/for my son with this CPU. Not only is it fast but it overclocks like a champ. It plays 95% of the games he plays at over 120 FPS with a 5070ti. Unless you are chasing FPS bragging rights, this is a great CPU.

If you count the rest as at price then the ram is $200 and you get a free SSD. Other processers can be cheaper like the 9600x. Not all bundles make sense but that doesn't mean none of them do.

Again, not how the bundle math works, unless you're trying to say something else. That link at $620 is worse than even the 7700X bundle currently at Micro Center, effectively paying $120 for the added "free" 512 GB SSD. The MC 16 GB bundles are the only ones priced to consider, and that's only if you just have to have new memory. I'm still building, customers are going with the sub $400 X3D bundles almost exclusively. I do systems around those, and they have time to realize they don't need 32 GB. MC needs to go back to the CPU / Motherboard combo, $300 was fine for the 7700X w/ B650 or B850.
