RIDGID AC840060 18V MAX Output 6.0 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery (2-Pack). MAX Output batteries facilitate battery and tool communication unleashing the full potential of any RIDGID 18V Brushless Tool providing more power and more runtime.

I'd consider putting the battery brand in the title.

Yes, batteries purchased separately are now covered by LSA, provided you register within 90 days. I always ring them up, if the LSA has not been confirmed online prior to the 90th day. Last time they wanted a copy of the receipt, even though I had uploaded it.

Edit: adding for those using other.tool brands, you may want to consider purchasing Ridgid batteries and getting a battery adapter for around $20 on eBay. Not having to pay for replacement batteries is a slick deal! Also, keep in mind that Ryobi, Ridgid power tools and Milwaukee are all made by the same company, TTI. However, Ridgid is the only one of the three offering the lifetime "warranty" via their LSA with registration within 90 days of purchase.

Just a heads up, the last few ridgid tools I have bought have taken a follow up with ridgid to get the warranty/LSA processed. Even when you attach the receipt to the submission they claim it "had an error" or something. The customer service people are always very nice and process it right away, but it almost seems like a business practice at this point.

Rigid registering online is a total mess. Someone in another post suggested I call to get them registered. That call went smooth. Have everything ready to read over the phone and make sure it is correct.

Go to this website https://register.ridgidpower.com to register power tools NOT ridgid.com.
But I would just call within the 90 day period to get the tools registered because their website sucks.
