It's great to have a fire extinguisher in the house but I would consider a fire blanket. They don't expire and it won't make a huge mess.

I'm in no way a fire fighter or even fire fighter adjacent, but I imagine they have different use cases. If you have an electrical fire or something inside a wall, I don't think a fire blanket will help much.

Typical kitchen grease fire, absolutely go with the fire blanket.

Fwiw, I have both in my house.

I keep one in my truck.... I have used 2 in my lifetime so far.... engine car fire and a retail store electrical fire.... both were a big factor in saving property.....
