Hard to justify this purchase when there are so many choices (not Ryobi) for half the cost AND include two batteries. I know the goal is to stay in the ecosystem, but this is SlickDeals.

Depends how much you value a brand name for a chainsaw and Li batteries.
Maybe the knockoff choices are equivalent to Ryobi. Maybe not. Most have to cut corners to achieve the lower price point.
Own this and use it regularly as homeowner and small landscaping projects for others. Good weight and balance. Used regular size Ryobi chainsaw and pole saw to take down 15' redbud tree in fall. For all the bigger branches that they cut down this mini chainsaw came in handy for the 10x more cuts of medium size you have to make when it's on ground. This time of year I've used on the dead branch cleanup in spring

Sure if you like junk. I received one of these knock off and they are junk. Batteries don't last long per charge, week motor and it smells like or burns after too long of use. Luckily I recieved it free.
Ended up giving it away to an enemy and bought this ryobi many year ago.

Lol just kidding about the enemy, I gave it to friend who needed a cheep "pruning" saw for those occasional uses.
