My Renewal process: ported # to tello for $8, port back to Visible to become a "new customer" the very next day ( this is 5 minute process and very easy with tello) and use a chase card ( freedom unlimited) for an extra 25% cash back ( plus the SLAMDUNK code).
Put eSIM on my main phone subsidized by work( Multi Esim iphone 15). Trade in old iphone 13 hotspot to apple for $135 credit to buy a 17e ($599-$135-$200 work phone credit) for main phone and use OLD main iphone 15 for this plan/new hotspot.
Upgraded all my devices to maximize the following years trade credits and got a year of service!
Edit: spelling/details
Notes: I learned most of this from r/nocontract and Tello port in and out is quick and easy + they let you store your # for $3 a month if you need it
Need to purchase the service by then and you have 30 days to activate. And the 12 months does not start until you activate your service.
Do you need to provide an IMEI when signing up (as a new customer)? Or do we have 30 days to activate the service after signing up?
I'm currently a Visible customer; previously, I've managed to let my service lapse for 1-2 days, and then just sign up as a new customer with the same phone but with a different email address. My current Visible promo ends in early May; I'm thinking of signing up for this $225 deal before it expires end of April, and not "activate" my current phone until early May. Thanks for your advice.

Sounds like physical SIM is the way to go. I'm fine with that, even though I have only used eSIMs so far.
One more question: if I go the physical SIM route, does the IMEI I enter during sign up have to match the IMEI I end up using the physical SIM with?

YOU SHOULD THEN (now you are on Visible's network) ask AI (I use Gemini) how to reset your messaging app. Some how Gemini told me to do this and sure enough... it was not yet connected. And then you should probably restart your phone and double check that your messaging is working.
So my real question to you is why not Mint? Do you use more then 50GB per month?

So I got it for one month... and then very next month my bill went back up and somehow it dropped a discount and added the fios discount and my bill amount never really changed. (Again, for one month it changed).
So I called up Fios, stated I want to leave for three months and that I will go to T mobile home Internet for $30 per month and then come back to fios to get that $35.00 per month deal. But if I get the deal right now I would stay... $35.00 per month for 300up/down. And they gave it to me AND told me it may not be a smart move to try to get anymore discounts per month cause the one he just gave me may be replaced.
I'm OK with that.
So the promotions can not be combined and they both require (1) New Customer and (2) Yearly Contract. You need to pick one promotion only.
Obviously the GOOGLE promotion is much stronger.
Before this GOOGLE promotion, there was only $500 off a Pixel 10 Pro XL but I think it still allowed you to get the half price plan deal. It was better before but now you get $600 off pixel 10 XL Pro.
Bottom line... no work around.
Imagine, you are sharing 15MB/s with the entire family and that is your internet. I will say that it sounds more like paid torture... like someone buying the lowest end Samsung Tablet that only has 4GB of RAM.

The good part of SD is that we learn every day from each other while enjoying the good deals. Way to go!! Repped.

I see no difference in time line between E-sim and physical sim.
When you use a code like SLAMDUNK, Visible's systems are designed to track that promotion alongside your order. If you haven't activated within 30 days, the system often flags the promotion as "expired" or "unclaimed." Even if you manage to activate on day 45, the discount might not automatically apply, leaving you to battle with customer support to get it back.
2. The Physical SIM "Death Clock"
If you ordered a physical SIM card, those specifically have a 30-day activation window. After 30 days: The SIM card becomes "inactive" or "dead" in their inventory system. If you try to activate it on day 31, the app will likely give you an error. You would then have to order a new SIM card, which can sometimes break the link to your original promo code.
POINT IS... I see no difference between SIM and ESIM.
If you want to wait as long as possible then you buy this deal on April 29th and wait 30 days to activate.
