This is a really excellent fully upgraded plan with unlimited high speed data, and most regular Verizon customers should absolutely consider choosing Visible instead for potentially significant cost savings. We have successfully used our smartphone as a hotspot multiple times when our regular internet service was down. There are no extra data charges for high speed streaming, without any throttling whatsoever, while using 2 laptops and a TV. The regular cell service is good, too. Keep in mind that Visible is owned by Verizon and runs on Verizon towers preferentially, so don't choose this service if coverage isn't great in your area. And YES, the price will go back up at the end of the promotional year, but Visible will wait until very near the end of the period and then offer another promotional price at the last minute. We choked and ported to Tello so that we could port back in for the newest promo price but it was completely unnecessary. They offered us a new promo about 10 days before the expiration of the yearly service. Also be sure to look for Cash Back opportunities from applicable credit cards and shopping sites when making payment.

The global 24 days pays for this itself if you travel. It has worked seamlessly across Europe for me the last two years

Yeah it charges the full price for another year at the end. I did last year when they had and shows next payment for 450

Got this deal last year with a free phone 13+ year of pro + plan ( also had a chase card offer $25 back) and have used it solely as a whole home WIFI and its worked wonderfully with fast enough speed to run my TV streaming apps and laptop at the same time streaming. I take the phone to work to use as a mobile hotspot there as well.

My Renewal process: ported # to tello for $8, port back to Visible to become a "new customer" the very next day ( this is 5 minute process and very easy with tello) and use a chase card ( freedom unlimited) for an extra 25% cash back ( plus the SLAMDUNK code).
Put eSIM on my main phone subsidized by work( Multi Esim iphone 15). Trade in old iphone 13 hotspot to apple for $135 credit to buy a 17e ($599-$135-$200 work phone credit) for main phone and use OLD main iphone 15 for this plan/new hotspot.

Upgraded all my devices to maximize the following years trade credits and got a year of service!

Edit: spelling/details
Notes: I learned most of this from r/nocontract and Tello port in and out is quick and easy + they let you store your # for $3 a month if you need it

Need to purchase the service by then and you have 30 days to activate. And the 12 months does not start until you activate your service.
Would you mind sharing more: "you have 30 days to activate"?

Do you need to provide an IMEI when signing up (as a new customer)? Or do we have 30 days to activate the service after signing up?
I'm currently a Visible customer; previously, I've managed to let my service lapse for 1-2 days, and then just sign up as a new customer with the same phone but with a different email address. My current Visible promo ends in early May; I'm thinking of signing up for this $225 deal before it expires end of April, and not "activate" my current phone until early May. Thanks for your advice.

Don't forget to activate your Chase card for the 25% off deal before going to the Visible web site. Then you input your imei and the "slamdunk" code for price drop $225. Pay for the plan with your Chase credit card. They will overnight you a sim card and you hold onto that sucker for 30 days so you can use up your old cell plan. Then you put it into your phone and activate for the 1 year promo plan to start. Don't forget that if you hate the service, they will not refund you the $225, so make sure you know Verizon will work in your hood.

Sounds like physical SIM is the way to go. I'm fine with that, even though I have only used eSIMs so far.
One more question: if I go the physical SIM route, does the IMEI I enter during sign up have to match the IMEI I end up using the physical SIM with?

So I don' t remember what I did for Visible... but with Mint... it sends you a QR code... and it took me ten minutes and I did provide my IMEI code but I don't know if I had to cause I could have also chosen make and model.

YOU SHOULD THEN (now you are on Visible's network) ask AI (I use Gemini) how to reset your messaging app. Some how Gemini told me to do this and sure enough... it was not yet connected. And then you should probably restart your phone and double check that your messaging is working.

So my real question to you is why not Mint? Do you use more then 50GB per month?

There is a promo GOOGLE to get 50% of google devices, but it is not stacking with SLAMDUNK. Any workarounds?

OK... ABOUT the $15 off per month on your FIOS bill.

So I got it for one month... and then very next month my bill went back up and somehow it dropped a discount and added the fios discount and my bill amount never really changed. (Again, for one month it changed).

So I called up Fios, stated I want to leave for three months and that I will go to T mobile home Internet for $30 per month and then come back to fios to get that $35.00 per month deal. But if I get the deal right now I would stay... $35.00 per month for 300up/down. And they gave it to me AND told me it may not be a smart move to try to get anymore discounts per month cause the one he just gave me may be replaced.

I'm OK with that.

So the promotions can not be combined and they both require (1) New Customer and (2) Yearly Contract. You need to pick one promotion only.

Obviously the GOOGLE promotion is much stronger.

Before this GOOGLE promotion, there was only $500 off a Pixel 10 Pro XL but I think it still allowed you to get the half price plan deal. It was better before but now you get $600 off pixel 10 XL Pro.

Bottom line... no work around.

Imagine, you are sharing 15MB/s with the entire family and that is your internet. I will say that it sounds more like paid torture... like someone buying the lowest end Samsung Tablet that only has 4GB of RAM.

I don't think there is a difference. I think you can just buy the Esim and wait upto 30 days to activate it.

I see no difference in time line between E-sim and physical sim.

When you use a code like SLAMDUNK, Visible's systems are designed to track that promotion alongside your order. If you haven't activated within 30 days, the system often flags the promotion as "expired" or "unclaimed." Even if you manage to activate on day 45, the discount might not automatically apply, leaving you to battle with customer support to get it back.

2. The Physical SIM "Death Clock"
If you ordered a physical SIM card, those specifically have a 30-day activation window. After 30 days: The SIM card becomes "inactive" or "dead" in their inventory system. If you try to activate it on day 31, the app will likely give you an error. You would then have to order a new SIM card, which can sometimes break the link to your original promo code.

POINT IS... I see no difference between SIM and ESIM.

If you want to wait as long as possible then you buy this deal on April 29th and wait 30 days to activate.

What are the chances Visible will extend this deal another 30 days past April? My current US Mobile plan don't end until mid June.
