If you can't afford All-Clad, this is a lot of good-enough quality cookware for the money.

I love this stuff. Buy a 12" frying pan and something nonstick for eggs and you're basically good on cookware for life.

I have both and I much prefer Tramontina. I HATE the handles on the All-Clad. Tramontina's quality is just as good or better than All-Clad.

Are the edges sealed, or the aluminum layer is exposed and erodes in the dishwasher and creates sharp steel edges?

Most nonstick is toxic, regardless of claims. You can use a bit of oil on stainless or cast iron and have similar effects...

These look good. Nice assortment of pans & pots. $188 today is a decent price. I have a similar set of Italian made from Kirkland purchased 25+ years ago. Looks almost identical. Use it daily.

I try not to put pots & pans in the dishwasher. I worked in a restaurant and saw that they never sent their pots & pans through the dishwasher. They always had someone hand cleaning them. I pour water into the dirty pan and heat it up. I then take a long wooden spoon to push and scrub a folded paper towel to remove stuck particles. Works like a charm

You won't get nonstick like teflon by using stainless or cast iron with "a bit of oil." You will need a ton of oil to even approach the nonstick properties of teflon. By then, you will be shallow frying your food.

Nonstick pans have a lifespan. They also off-gas toxic chemicals when heated too high, some studies showing as low as 445F. Don't use them as soon as you see degradation or scratches in the pans. But they are very useful for cooking foods like eggs.

Not at the moment. Costco has as sale on This Tramontina 12-piece set [costco.com] every few months or so. $160 for a set that's normally 240. Wifey loves the 5-quart dutch pot as it's a perfect size for a small family.

These are what we use for a "non-stick" pan. They are thin dimpleded cast iron pans that work pretty good and no chemicals and are oven safe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNHR7...le_22&th=1

Made in Brazil or China? Any difference between this signature line and the set sold in Costco?

This is where I've landed. My wife can't make eggs on stainless and caring for cast iron is too much work for us.
