Plus applicable tax. However, as I have mentioned in the steps on OP if you do sim kit as pickup from store and never go for it, it will get refunded back in a few days. So you will only be paying $76.99+tax for the phone alone.
Community Reviews
The Moto G Power 2024 comes across as a solid budget backup or travel phone with a big battery, bright screen, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and SD card support. It also has Android 15, with security updates running until May 2027, and the unlocked model is seen as easier to root. The main knocks are its slow performance for heavier use, a dull 500 nit IPS display in sunlight, a dated 1080p 30fps camera, and a large, heavy body. Bloatware and update behavior are recurring concerns, so it feels best suited to light use or as a spare.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. The phone can be shipped to your address while the Visible SIM is set for store pickup, then the SIM pickup is left unclaimed so the SIM order auto-cancels and refunds, leaving the phone at a lower final price.
It works well as a backup or home phone and can be fine for light use, but it can feel slow or laggy for heavier everyday use. The 8GB RAM/128GB storage version is the better fit, while the 4GB version may bottleneck speed.
It is stuck on Android 15 and reportedly cannot be updated beyond it. Security updates are expected to continue until about May 2027, which leaves roughly two more years of support.
Yes, it has SD card support, and it is a more feature-complete budget phone because the 2025 and 2026 Moto G Power models do not have Qi wireless charging.
The screen is reported as a dull IPS panel around 500 nits, which can be hard to see in sunlight, and the camera is described as dated with 1080p/30fps video and low-quality images. That makes it less appealing if display brightness and camera quality matter most.

Please post what happens when they auto cancel.
I did as suggested with the SIM kit for pickup. Even if they don't refund me $30 when the SIM kit auto cancels, I can live with $107 for just the phone. This is meant to be a spare phone for when an existing one breaks. In the good old days before hearing that AI data centers are consuming many chip components and driving up prices with no end in sight, I would've waited until the phone breaks or I saw a better price, but I'm afraid cheap Moto G unlocked phones like this will soon be a thing of the past.
I hardly buy anything from Best Buy. The last time I tried to return part of a package deal, like B2G1F movies many years ago, they wanted to charge me extra rather than refund me to return 1 of the 3 movies, so I just kept them all. For this reason I thought Best Buy's system would take away the promo and charge us full price if we let the SIM kit auto cancel, i.e. they would charge a total of $127 + tax. You said they can't charge more without our permission for an online order, so I hope you're right. I guess in store when you try to return something and they want to charge you extra to return an item with a promo, that is them asking for permission. Hopefully for online they won't do that and hopefully they won't ban people for doing this.
It also says $45 fee to return the phone, but AI said if you return it unopened they won't charge you $45. I hope that's true in case they charge me the extra $20 as I worry. Now if the date when this deal expires were listed, I might've waited another day or two to order, but like many deals the end dates are kept secret.
